lol

maybe because they put the wings on upside down? in an link quade posted a few days ago there's a good-sounding explanation why the engine-low design is all the rage.

My advice is to do what your parents did; get a job, sir. The bums will always lose. Do you hear me, Lebowski?

Over-wing podded engines have a lot of advantages over under-wing engines. But they're tougher to get to for maintenance. But they allow for a shorter landing gear, they prevent debris injestion, and can be used to blow lots of extra air over the flaps for better short field performance. Generally wing mounted engines also reduce the weight of the aircraft over fuselage mounted engines too, because in flight, the structure that attaches the wing to the fuselage doesn't need to hold up the weight of the engines, so a lighter structure can be used.

hi dave... hope sikorsky is treating you well... any chance of a tour next time I'm in Bridgeport, like 2nd or 3rd week in November?

inspite of top of wing mounted engines having benefits, do they not run an increased risk of stalling or flaming out when the wing is at high angles of attack? just a thought I had, don't know if it's a realistic one...

WOW! if that's a real shot, that's quite a design! Is it a pusher prop? I can't tell, looks too old to be turbojet... haven't a CLUE what it is...

but I found another for y'all... it a good'un...
