Farewell Australia....

Recommended Posts

Well, it's been almost a full 6 weeks since I arrived here and very soon (Saturday morning) I will return back home to sunny Florida. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here as I've had the chance to see some pretty amazing things and meet some great people.

Things I got to do while here: Explore Sydney, bush walk in the Blue Mountains and around Canberra, pet some kanagroos and cuddle with a koala, explore the Jenolan Caves, walk through a tropical rain forest, white water rafting down a river which runs through a tropical rain forest (Raging Thunder does a great trip), and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef (thanks Moonlight 2). I was also fortunate enough to get within about 3 feet of a mother kanagroo with a joey sticking his head out of her pouch. Of course I can't forget to mention the great people at Picton where I was able to do 1 jump when I first arrived in country.

There's so much more I'd like to see, but I'm fortunate that I even got the opportunity to see what I did. The country is beautiful, the people are just incredibly friendly, and the food/wine is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend getting over here and spending a few weeks if you're able to--it's an experience you'll never forget!

Now, after a 5 week break of not jumping if I don't throw myself out of a plane ASAP, I'm going to go completely insane!!! You better believe the DZ is the first place I'm heading Sunday morning...

Cheers!
