freeatlast 0 #1 October 9, 2003 Ok - I'm leaving NZ on Sunday and have a 7hr stop-over in LA. (Long journey) Taupo - Auckland - LA - Heathrow - home !!! I obviously have to make it back to the airport in plenty of time for my flight. My options seem to be - 1.Leave the airport (if poss) and go sit on the beach 2.Stay in the airport lounge (for 7 hours) 3.Get drunk at the airport bar ???? What would you suggest ??? ReLLiK75 0 #2 October 9, 2003 Definitely don't have enought time to make it to Perris or Elsinore. On a good day with no traffic, it'll take you at least an hour to get out there. Throw LA traffic in the picture and you could easily spend your 7 hours on the road. The beach, on the other hand, is not far away at all. A 5-10 minute taxi ride could have you sitting on the beach. That's probably your best option. If you head south down towards Redondo Beach there are a bunch of restaurants and bars--nice place to hang out.
