Brian425 0 #1 October 9, 2003 Everytime I go to the DZ to complete my next level in AFF, it is either raining or windy. I think the regulars are going to start to blame me soon. The only positive is the grass have been really green at the Ranch this year and I take all the credit. My first solo is this Saturday!!! If it does not rain or get too windy, the beer will flow. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

mr2mk1g 10 #5 October 9, 2003 took me 3 months to get my last jump in to qualify for my A. The weather really gets shitty here. It's not like I didnt try either - spend weekends on the trot at the DZ, still no break in the crap. Exp got to jump... but oh not me! Hang in there - you'll get your A and you'll move on to whatever you want to do.
spidermonky 0 #6 October 9, 2003 Yah, well I'm the god of blown up engines! My last two dropzones (since this summer) have had a total of 3 cessnas break down while I was jumping there.
selbbub78 0 #7 October 9, 2003 I've been feeling that way too lately, but just to make you feel a little better. I've noticed that the winds at the ranch seem to pick up a little bit at mid day. Just enough to ground students. It calms down in the mid afternoon though. If you can, get a few jumps in early in the morning, before the winds get higher, then use the day watching people land, and how to flare (that was always my problem anyway), then start jumping again. That's what i used to do."Women fake orgasms - men fake whole relationships" – Sharon Stone "The world is my dropzone" (wise crewdog quote) "The light dims, until full darkness pierces into the world."-KDM
