happythoughts 0 #1 October 9, 2003 When I turned 40, my sister said "...you are going to need glasses soon" She was right. Anyway... I have a bag that I got during the 40-way camp. I keep my spare pair of glasses in it. I keep some spare clothes, etc in it too. Clothes, towel, deodorant, whatever necessary for an impromptu evening away from home... I keep this bag in the trunk of my car. I also have a pair of glasses that I carry around. I use these all the time. I go out for dinner about 5 nights a week. I took my glasses in my car. I had my bag in the trunk. I went out to eat. I stopped at my fav bar on the way home. I parked my car... Anyway... I forgot that I drove my car. It is a big parking lot. I walked home. I went to get my glasses out of my car.... I have no car. Pardon if my spelling/grammar is a little askew. 20 years of IT and I can touch type. Hopefully, I can find my car tomorrow. One thing that I have discerned... I am far, far better looking when I have been having a few. Am I in the California time zone now?

happythoughts 0 #3 October 9, 2003 QuoteDude, where's my car???? Found it. It never goes far without me. Since the bar is only 150 yards from my house, I generally walk. Usually I don't take the car there and then walk home though. I need a better plan.

happythoughts 0 #5 October 9, 2003 QuoteIf you ask a moderator, they will move this to the incidents forum. How old is your sister dude ? Mid 50's and ugly as sin on Sunday. All 3. In fairness, at least they know how to cook. Girls in their 20's are worthless.
freeflir29 0 #6 October 9, 2003 I did that once when I was TDY in the military. I actually parked halfway between the bar and hotel. Got up for school in the morning and had NO CLUE where I had left my Jeep. Only took me about 15 minutes to find it. Everyone I work with now "loses" their cars every once in a while. It's happened to me twice in the last 5 months. It's pretty easy to do when you park in the same large parking lot 5 days or more per week.

happythoughts 0 #8 October 10, 2003 QuoteIt's good to know that I'm not the only one that has lost my car There is always cops in the parking lot of this place. If I can't find it immediately, I figure that I shouldn't be driving past these guys. Losing the car I could understand. I just forgot that I drove there. moodyskydiver 0 #9 October 10, 2003 I lose my glasses sometimes too.Thankfully I usually finish whatever drink was in them before I lose them. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
