I love it when moral crusaders are exposed for their true colors.

Rush Limbaugh, forget about the comments he made about McNabb....but he's hooked on Oxycotin. This is the guy who has said he has no sympathy for drug addicts, that they are leaches on society and should be shipped over seas.

Wonder when he plans to leave the country....

Ahhhh, the hypocrisy of moralists...not since Falwell getting busted in the porno house have I laughed so hard.

Wonder what Bill O'Reilly's scandal will be.

I was waiting for a left-winger to bring this up but I didn't think it would be you. You are such a bleeding heart liberal in denial. All he said was that he thought Nabb was not as good as the media was making him out to be. That they just wanted a black quarterback to rally behind and that the recent of the success of the team was coming from their defense, which can be attributed to many black players anyway. All he did was say things the way things were. Liberals like yourself want to nit pick at words and blacklist people. And you have the nerve to ever even barely mention McCarthy's name.
I think 100 years from now when enough people get fed up with the liberal antics to blacklist anybody who does not say African-American or the politically correct term of the day, then people will read the history books and the I knew it all along sydrome will be high in effect. Yes then people will think "If I lived back then I wouldn't be ready to crucify somebody that did nothing wrong except not play my politically correct game". But the sad reality is people are too much like sheep and its only the few who have the courage to stand up and make statements that might appear unpopular that will eventually make a change for the better.
Oh and anybody who wants to read more about this can go to a real source like this one.

Ummm...I said forget about the comments about McNabb.....I didn't really have a problem with his opinion on that matter. He said he thought the media needed to hype a black quarterback, and they may be entirely true. I think that was a non-story.

This post was specifically regarding his hypocrisy about drug addicts considering he is one.

You did start your post by mentioning it on the day the scandal broke so I don't think it was by accident but anyway, I that case, there you go....

Rush: No Knowledge of Drug Probe

Conservative talk radio star Rush Limbaugh disappointed leftists who had hoped a scheme to blackmail him over an alleged painkiller addiction would leave him too rattled to deliver the keynote address this morning before the National Association of Broadcasters.

Sounding confident and strong, Limbaugh launched into a lengthy peroration about the significance of talk radio in America today - peppered with anecdotes about his own 15 years as America's top radio talker.

Minutes before addressing the crowd, Limbaugh's office issued a statement saying he had no knowledge of a supposed police investigation into claims by a former housekeeper who said she kept detailed records of the prescription painkillers she allegedy obtained for him since 1998.

The top talker said, however, that he was willing to cooperate fully with any probe, if in fact one is under way.

Curiously, housekeeper Wilma Cline apparently decided long ago to act against Limbaugh by keeping meticulous records, or alleged records, of the pills she says she first borrowed from her husband. Cline claims the talk host paid her $120,000 to stay silent, but then she took her story to police and the National Enquirer, which frequently pays its sources.

Though Cline's obvious financial motive clouds her credibility, by 9 a.m. today the Associated Press had run 49 stories detailing her allegations.

The Enquirer's credibility has a mixed record. In recent years the supermarket tabloid won kudos for its coverage of the O.J. Simpson scandal and for breaking the news of Jesse Jackson's love child. But it has also run repeated cover stories about Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton -- almost all of which have never been covered by the major media.

For anybody who wants to go to the source.

That's ok, all good liberals will acknowledge that if Rush has/had a drug problem, it's not his fault, it's a sickness, and that it's really the government's fault. Probably GW's fault.

What we need here is a good tax increase for the government to pay for either: 1 - Rush's pain killers; 2 - Rush's treatment and sensitivity training.

Nice, research, Philly!

Heck, no need for a search warrant, investigation, or trial!

So what's your sentence? You being judge, jury, and executioner?

Just curious. Please don't get mad and come condemn me on an unfounded accusation.

Please.

I would like to see how you could spin what I said to suggest that it is racist. Then again if I turn the news on I can just listen and watch how creative the lefty reporters get to spin what Rush said and then I can rest assure you will come up with a way.

No, a drug addict has noone to blame but themselves. It is a sickness, though. And the gov't is partially responsible for its spread by convincing people that marijuana is an evil plague but prescription pill popping is a-ok.

I'm just reporting the news, and if you follow the link it's not to the Enquirer. I heard it on the radio today and didn't realize it was the Enquirer.

I'm none of the above. And I only have sympathy for his addiction if it is true. I personally know someone hooked on them. My beef is with his hypocrisy. I find it to be very interesting when people who claim to be morally superior are found out to be just like everyone else.

"The Daily News independently confirmed that Limbaugh is under investigation.

His lawyers, Jerry Fox and Dan Zachary, refused to comment on the accusations and said any "medical information" about him was private and not newsworthy."

Oh sure, take my sarcasm and throw a reasonable statement on it.

But regardless of the government's example, etc. I'd still only blame the user (maybe their doctor) on any addiction. I don't believe the government ever put out a policy saying "sure, go ahead and abuse prescription drugs" - If you know it, post it. I'll stick with the personal responsibility arguments - they are less pathetic.

I don't have an issue making pot legal, provided employers can fire and make hiring decisions if they don't want people who do it working for them (in or out of the office - I know that's pretty walled-in and many disagree). Ditto smoking, ditto other drugs. Problem being though - once legal, they can't have that control over their own businesses.

But that's me, my only friend is Advil and that's last resort. (After surgery, whatever the doctor says is 'discretionary' like pain meds - I flush right away. Reasonably though, whatever he says is 'required' like anti-inflamatories 'cillins, etc, of course I'll take)

But let's not hijack this thread on that boring issue. Unless you really feel like post whoring.:)

Come on Steel! Anytime anyone conservative says anything contrary to liberal doctrine and the phrase 'African American' is included, they're obviously a racist! Dear Lord man! Get a grip on yourself. The fact that you neither judge anyone by their race for any reason nor support any program which does the same is irrelevant. You're conservative, therefore you're a racist!

I guess you're right. Now let me give Jeanne some fun here. In the city of Dallas there is an unusually high gay population. (Now you can call me a homophobe). They also have gyms called "Curves" for women only. (So you can call me a woman hater too). South Dallas has a high black population. (Go ahead and turn that around to call me a anti-black). There are a lot of Jewish people in Dermatology. ( I guess my saying that must mean that I am anti-semetic. Right?)
I know when its put that way most people realize just how stupid the liberal propaganda is. But they fear challengeing it because they think the liberals will then set the wolves on them instead.

No, "most people" don't, because you aren't making any sense. Aside from that, in numerous other threads, you have repeatedly made racist statements. It has nothing to do with being liberal or conservative. People just get tired and offended having to deal with hate-filled filth.

Dammit Steel! Have you made racist comments in other threads that I've missed? I can't remember any, but then again my photographic memory has been out of film for quite some time.

First off, to me a racist is a meaningless term. What does it mean? A pianist is expert at the piano so is a racist an expert on races? If so then why when talking about religion will people like yourself (Liberals) start making reference to race? I think its because of the fear you (and people like you) have built into the American population when ever mentioning anything that can be taken and turned around to appear as discriminatory toward the black race or any victims that need some sort of "liberal protection". I put it in quotes because its an outright lie and now I will append a story about the NAACP that proves just that.

NAACP Wants Rush Fired, But Gave Lib Radio Racist a Pass

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People wants ESPN to fire Rush Limbaugh for suggesting that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb is overrated by the media because he's black.

But when a Bush-hating radio liberal repeatedly aired a racist song parody about Condoleezza Rice last year, not a peep of complaint emanated from the so-called civil rights organization.

Ironically, popular South Florida host Neil Rogers is heard on ESPN affiliate WQAM, where up until January he delighted in playing the song parody "Condoleezza" to the tune of the Nat King Cole classic "Mona Lisa."

A sampling of the disgusting lyrics:

"Condoleezza, Condoleezza, what you be doin'?
That neo-facist black-haired token schwarze dog.

"Is you there 'cause you a high-toned public Negro?
Is you their black-haired answer-mammy who be smart?

"Does they like how you shine their shoes, Condoleezza?
Or the way you wash and park the whitey's cars.

"Georgie junior says he trusts you, Condoleezza.
Who said our [unintelligible] off the greedy oil woes.

"But then he make you clean all the White House bathrooms.
The public sink, the toilet and let's scrub the floors."
[End of Excerpt]

A complaint about Rogers' repeated airing of "Condoleezza" from Chicago radio host Robert Oliver finally forced an apology from WQAM's owner.

But Oliver's persistent attempts to get the Miami chapter NAACP to act were met with stone cold silence.

Undoubtedly.

I know you love "leftie-bashing", but you might want to review those other threads us pinko commie lefties are referring to before you choose which "Rightous Righties" you closely align yourself with for the debate. Even a diehard conservative might find them a tad too disrespectful and ill-considered to make good company.

Just a friendly, respectful suggestion, from leftie to rightie. :)
