For Aggie Dave:

Yeah, it happens. We apparently left the Wrecking Crew in College Station and Dustin Long should be in at QB...

You know what gets me, there were OVER 400 law enforcement officers on hand at the game after what Tech fans did last year. There were even 6 Texas Rangers there..."1 riot, 1 ranger..." Yeah apparently there's a problem in Lubbock.:S

Naw. no problem.
Remember that most of the real nasty stuff last time(the camera bashing etc.) turned out to be aggies. Wasn't last year, was 2 years ago. But we beat you last you too (in C.S. no less).
They dont like us to rush the field anymore. Hard to get Fed Ex to deliver new goal posts in a week, and Aggies big wigs like to sue when their own students beat them up. ;)

Oh, you must be refering to Tech fans tearing down the goal post and ramming it into the Aggie seating section. Yup, that was perfectly innocent.

Oh, I never claimed we'd win this game, I said that no matter what Tech fans try to say, we're not rivals, no one at Texas A&M thinks that Tech is a rival, we have one and only one rival...that little school in Austin.:P

HAHAHAHAH, and the waitress almost wouldn't bring me another beer for you saying that. But no, they're not rivals[:/]

Go Big Red! Lubbock...Thats my home town...Kinda miss it..
I have plans of opening a DZ there in the not so far away future.

I faintly remember the goal post incident...Still trying to forget the night in Jail over it.:)

Yea, I know the feeling. Kinda like the Horns only have 1 real rival..... that little school in Norman. ;)

You guys don't ever have to say that we are a rival, or say that you are going to win. The fact is that it KILLS you guys that you can't seem to beat us. AM has always been rated better than Tech, the Aggies think they are gods gift to university, then they show up to the game (that they all claim means nothing) by the thousands...make a ton of noise, rude comments, and generally look down their noses at us..... and we kick your ass....over and over again. THAT is why the goals came down the last two times we stomped aggie skull in Lubbock.

I said before that they claim it doesn't matter ( the game that is) but they only do that once they know they are done for. This year it was really weird to see (and hear) the student section shut up close to the end of the 3rd Quarter. Usually, when the yell leaders do their little dances all the aggies are %110 with their yells, hissses, whooops and what not, but this year was the first time I saw them actually start to slack way off. I saw a guy with a "Tortilla Tech" shirt (back said MMMMMM...tastes like Chicken" actuall take it off when a red raider offered him 10 buck for it. Think he got sick of us asking how he liked our chicken now.... In the 4th quarter you heard the comment go from (just wait...game aint over yet....etc) to (we do know why you guys care so much....just a stupid game.. doesn't really matter....). So I guess that makes sense. Hurts less to lose to the "classless Clowns" if you go 3rd grade on um' and act like it doesn't matter.

Just read that they gave up more points in that game than they ever have in their history....and that was with our 2nd and 3rd string going in at the end of the 3rd Q. Could have been 62-28 if we would have gone for the field goal instad of letting the clock run out. Ah....nice

Yep, we lay awake at night wondering how we are going to beat tech.:D Look you guys had a better FB team and won, we lost. Oh well shit happens.

You know what KILLS you tech folks? The fact that you've tried repeatedly to start a rivalry between us, and you guys know we still don't give a shit about your one sided rivalry. As Dave said, we've got one rivalry, and it is not you.

*sigh* You should come down to College Station and see who the Aggies are rather than making these kind of ridiculous comments.

You'll find tons of Aggies at any away game. Especially those in Texas.

So you win a game that you think is a huge game and you destroy school property?? I've never understood that one.

I don't wish to start an argument with you Zlew, but damn, it is just a football game.

You guys can say whatever you want about it not mattering or just being a football game. I've been to 4 Tech AM games.....and I can tell you for a fact that it does matter to you guys. You should hear the trash you guys talk (esp. for those fleeting moments while you are winning). Every game I've been to tech has been the underdog. You guys show up expecting to kick some butt on someone elses turff and lose. You lost this year in lubbock, you lost last year in C.S., you lost the year before that in lubbock, Won the year before in CS. and lost the year before that in Lubbock (the first time the goals came down). Blow it off all you want. but everybody knows that the aggies are supposed to be the hot shit in tx. football, and the low life red raiders are supposed to be on the bottom of the stack. That's the way it's always been. Act like it doesnt' matter.... I was there, and I"ve been there for years and I can tell you for a fact that it matters and the aggies do care. I have several Aggie friends (grew up in TX, how can I not). And I'll still stand by my statement that aggies look down on everyone else and think they are hot shit. You guys don't see us as rivals, and that is ok by me (UT doesn't see you as a Rival...that would be OU but that doesn't stop you guys from going nuts over the game..bonfire and all of the other taditions that go along with it), but you still see us as the thorn in your side. And when you come to my stadium expecting to kick my low life ass....and have your handed to you.....that's worth more than a rivalry is worth to me.

Well, you guys can't understand walking on the grass either, so I'm not supprised.
You guys will win again. Probably soon. It's always hard to win at Kyle Field, and AM usually has a ranked team. But I lift my glass to the times that I've been there when the underdogs won.
I've been there when you guys have more people (studetns) at the game than we had (but it's just a game right).
I've been there with the trash talking, noise and b.s. that goes along with it. I know it makes it ez for you to say it's just a game....and that it doesn't matter.... you might make others buy that, but there is no way in hell you can make be go for that...
<< it is just a football game.>>
HEHE... how long have you lived in TX.... are you an aggie transfer? there is no such thing as JUST a football game, not even in a teenagers back yard!

We don't walk on the grass around the MSC. The Memorial Student Center. That's a living memorial for all the Aggies who have died in war. If you're on campus sometime, go to the MSC and read the stuff about our Medal of Honor recipiants. Then go to the Corps Center and see the stuff about Aggies in war.

55 Aggies died in WWI
18,000 Aggies served in WWII, 32 of them were Generals Officers. 2 entire classes withdrew from school during WWII to go fight.
Untold Aggies have served in EVERY conflict with honor and distinction since the Spanish American War.

"Give me an army of West Point Graduates and I'll win a battle, give me a handful of Aggies and I'll win the war." --Gen. Patton

See, we take great pride and respect in A&M's long military history, we respect that with memorials, such as the grass around the MSC. Next time you're at Kyle Field, look at the American flags and count them. There are 55 total, one for each of the Aggies that died in WWI. Go to Spence Park (its near Kyle Field). That's a memorial for the Aggies who served in the Spanish American War. Go see Gen. Rudder's statue. It was his Army Rangers that scaled the cliffs at D-day. Take a look at Gen. Ross' statue. Go look at Gen. Hollingworth's statue, read the things he did. These were all Aggies.

What may seem like meaning-less tradition to those not from A&M, is actually a tradition based on something very important from our long and honorable history.

Oh, and you may think that t.u. doesn't think A&M are rivals, we must not be, we've only been playing each other in football each year since 1898. Two years after t.u. opened. Bevo, their mascot, got its name from a group of Aggies who stole it after A&M's first win and branded 13-0 (the score) in the side of it. The folks in Austin got their mascot back and branded "Bevo" in the side to cover the 13-0. Until recently, before the game against A&M, t-sips gathered and lit candle's to "hex the Aggies." They used to have their own bonfire to try to rival A&M's Bonfire. But, you're probably right, they don't think we're rivals.

Oh, why do Aggies care about the Tech game? Its football and Aggie Football is practically a religion, we get that worked up for any game. Hell, we still celebrate the fact that we have won a national championship. Sure, it was 1939, but we're still proud. Think about the tradition of the 12th man, it started due to E. King Gill. In 1922, in Dallas at the Dixie Classic (that's now the Cotton Bowl), Gill was called down from the stand to suit up, since he had been on the team during the off season. The coach did that due to injuries to a large amount of players. Gill didn't get to play, but he was there incase he was needed. That's where the 12th man got started, that's why all the students stand at the games. They stand to show support and with the thought of "I'm here if you need me" even though today, that would never happen. Even the "little" games, there are 80,000+ Aggies at the game. They still stand up the entire game. 20,000+ go to the Midnight Yell the night before, even for the "little" games. If its a game in Texas, you bet your ass that Aggies will show up in large numbers. We care about our school and support our school.

Why do Aggies tend to look down at other schools? We believe, with just cause, that we have the best school. If you go to a school and don't think its the best, well then, why the hell did you go there?

So you made fun of one of our traditions, are you going to make fun of more? Maybe you should talk trash about the 12 that died on Bonfire nearly 4 years ago.

Thanks for the Fish Camp Cliff's Notes.
Yea, I do think most of your traditions are kind of goofy and cult like, but that's just me. I'm glad to see that you finally bellyed up and admittend that eaTme aggies look down on everyone else.

Yea, how much can you find UT AM tickets for on e-bay..... search UT OU right now, and you will find stuff like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?viewItem&item=2192888948&category=16122[url] (one of these days i'll figure out how to make a clicky...

Most are going for about 600 plus per pair. Check again in a few weeks for the UT eaTme game and see what you find.
Yea 13 - 0 became 13 Ev0. and yes you have played for a long time.... but OU is still the one for UT. I loved beating them last year (was at that game too...hehe) but just like u are not our rival, nor are you theirs. OU is huge every year... held in a neutral stadium 3 hours from both schools, that still sells out over 80.000. tickets, and demand driving ticket prices to the prices I just showd on Ebay.
I have many friends who lost brothers at the bonfire a few years back. I'll never forget that day. Ask me where I was, and what I was doing when I saw that on TV. I'll never forget. Do I think the bonfire became excessive, do I regreat how many people were not sober working on it when it came down....yea, I do. But I will NEVER say anything bad about the 12 kids who lost their lives that day doing something they belived in. They were just fucking kids man, the shouldn't of had to go like that. I know thats' a hot button with you (seen your posts), and I bet you'd like me to say somthing bad about the kids that died that day but it's not going to happen. Like the UT girl in your other post said, all the school to school issues don't matter when blood is spilled and lives are lost. I'll never say anything bad about the Aggie skydivers that Died a few years ago either.
I'll never root for AM... doesn't matter who they play. I'll always get pumped up when we pay AM and gloat when we win, but I have never wished anyone harm. Shit dave, I shook your hand at Eloy this year. I'm actually kind of suprised that you threw the hook out there about the bonfire.
Here is to US
and Those like US!!!
