mixedup 0 #1 July 3, 2011 would be interested to see a video of a ProTrack working (hearing the audible alerts etc) - haven't actually been able to find one yet? Anyone have a link to a Video (or audio) of the ProTrack in use/demonstration?Parachutist Game IOS Android YouT
yoink 321 #2 July 4, 2011 There isn't really a lot to show or hear. It beeps loudly 3 times at your 2 preselected altitudes, then flatlines at your third. Most people use these for breakoff, pull and hard-deck keys. what more do you need to know?

aeroflyer 0 #4 July 4, 2011 Its pretty loud. I put it inside my helmet with the beeper hole facing out and can still hear it easily. Does what it's supposed to do.

Most current helmets have an audible pocket molded into the side so the Altitrack, Optima, NeoXs or other audible goes inside. Some helmets require an external clip (available from L&B) to mount the ProTrack. Surely someone on your DZ has an audible/ProTrack in their helmet they can show you? They're very common. mixedup 0 #7 July 4, 2011 Yeah. I'll ask next time I'm out there. If u see my "number of jumps" it hints at why I've been concentrating on the fundamental stuff so far when I'm out there. Parachutist Game IOS Android YouT

And...that's a great plan. Keep focusing on the fundamentals, but you'll also find a tremendous value in being there when jumping isn't happening. Folks are usually very happy to share info and answer questions.

And show off their toys. Don't forget that part. Really. The protrack beeps when you turn it on. I occasionally get asked "what is that?" and often pull it out and show the person asking what it is and what it does. There is a test mode that makes it do all three alarms. That is fun to demonstrate."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
