ypelchat 0 #1 October 10, 2003 Hello; I was just wondering what kind of airplanes you have at your DZ, for skydiving operations. I'm posting a picture of our King Air A100, when it was delivered in february 2003, just before it was converted for skydiving operations. Feel free to post pics of your favorite bird! Yves. McDuck 0 #2 October 10, 2003 We currently have a Caravan, but in November we're getting a SUPER OTTER! I feel like I should be singing theme music or something. From time to time, we get a CASA! The flying house! I'm way overboard with the !'s.Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school. Vertifly 0 #3 October 10, 2003 We've had each one of those at the Keys during one time or another. The desired plane has got to be a super otter.
ypelchat 0 #4 October 10, 2003 Ooops! I forgot to include 4 aircrafts in the poll. 1: the Beechcraft Twin Bonanza. This was our jump plane, prior to the delivery of our King Air. 2: The PAC 750XL (this is a newcomer in skydiving, and looks like a Caravan) 3: the Cessna C-206 4: Britten Norman Islander Yves. Jib 0 #5 October 10, 2003 Right now, a C-206 and Grand Caravan, but the Porter should be back for the winter along with a Skyvan and/or Otter!!! -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. Unstable 9 #7 October 10, 2003 Wide Body Cessna 182 here. Just one of em - but for a College Club, and to have it PAID OFF, that says quite a lot. It would be a real challenge to upgrade, during the summer we fly that that 16 to 20 loads a day with three loads backed up at all times, but during the Winter we can bearly get 4 people and a pilot to keep it turning. I love our Airplane, i think Skydivers get an emotional attachment to their Home DZ's jumpship. I'm dependant on it.=========Shaun ==========

Our Twin Bonanza has been a wonderful jumpship at our DZ, for many years. I did my first freefall out of the Twin Bo. Our Twin Bo is now for sale, and is now awaiting a new owner, and a new home...... Wonderful memories. I'll remember the Twin Bo for a long time. For those of you who don't know what a Beechcraft Twin Bonanza look like, I'm posting two pictures of a Twin Bonanza, that I took while I was at Lake Wales, in december 2002. Yves. Dumpster 0 #9 October 10, 2003 No pics, but our club (SkyKnights SPC) owns a C-182 with a new turbocharged engine, (Climbs as fast as a King Air or Otter up to a few thousand feet - Sweet for quick hop-n-pops) We had an Otter for most of this season before it succumbed to engine problems, so a King Air fills the gap, but getting an Otter in from SDC or CSD is not much trouble when we need it. We usually have a Casa up here two to three times a year, too. This summer has been cool with impromptu balloon jump opportunities, which I haven't the chance to take advantage of, yet. We are very fortunate to have 3 or 4 balloons that come to our DZ, on a regular basis. (Almost daily) Also. the city nearby our DZ (3 miles), host a yearly balloon gathering event (about 30 of them, for about a week ) Yves.

CanuckInUSA 0 #13 October 10, 2003 I'm not sure which King Airs Mile-Hi or Brush have, so I voted for both King Air categories. I also voted 'Other' because Mile-Hi has a Cessna 206 as well. Oh did I mention our Otter? Nah, let's not go there ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Push 0 #18 October 10, 2003 Looks like an ordinary C182 to me Edit: A narrow-body C182 and a Twin Otter. ypelchat 0 #20 October 10, 2003 The King Air A100 has a longer fuselage than the King Air C90 (on the A100, you may notice two more windows, before the door, and also, the KA A100 has 4 blade engines instead of the 3 bladed engines on the C90). I'm not sure if Mike Mullins's King Air C90, has 4 bladed engines, though? Does anyone know? Yves.
