However, the vast amount of product is outstanding. I personally had to finally specialize in wines from a particular region. There are so many very good wines available. You can weed out some by word of mouth of check the Wine Spectator. http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Home Some wines just do not travel well. Therfore the true vinyard taste that is achieved is somewhat less than optimal. Per vineyard standards. Especially the reds.
