Truthfully, I think it will pretty good for Cali to have someone that ISN'T wrapped up in the politics of everything. If I had lived in MN, I would have voted for Ventura too.

If Arnold can get rid of the Special interest shitheads in Cali, then I think he has done his job.

My opinion. But hey, I live in NY and for the most part care not what happens on the left coast. Except skydiving stuff of course.

I don't doubt you for a second. Lets all remember that this is the same state that found clueless, non-thinking jurors to acquit OJ. If I recall correctly, one of the jurors actually based her not guilty decision on a correlation between something her palmist (palm reader) taught her and something she saw in the way Mark Furman was holding his hands -- her knowledge about palmistry was enough to make her believe that Furman was lying and therefore OJ was innocent. Bleech.

What has he said he wants to get done? All I've heard is balance the budget, repeal the car tax and do that audit. 1 and 2 are sort of opposites; 3 may or may not accomplish anything worthwhile. I haven't heard any plans as to _how_ he's going to balance the budget, other than hope the economy improves and results in more tax revenue. (Of course we could elect a pelican to be governor and that sort of strategy would still work.)

I think that, in the long run, if the economy continues to improve, he'll be a hero, he saved California, he's a brilliant leader etc. Heck, in time he could run for president - republicans are already making noise about modifying Article II of the constitution. If the economy stagnates a bit, and tax revenues don't increase, I wouldn't be suprised if we see another recall in, say, a year.
