Vlad 0 #1 October 12, 2003 Saw an analogous post about wines. My favourite are usually the ones I brew myself. After that are Belgian ales (Trapists, Abbeys, Lambics), German weizens, British bitters and pale ales, Irish stouts and doppelbocks. Oh, yeah, out of Americans I like Anchor steam beer and Alaskan smoked porter..

TitaniumLegs 8 #8 October 12, 2003 Hard to say. Grolsch, Gordon Biersch märzen, Bitburger, Warsteiner. I really miss all the local biers I consumed in qty in Germany. There were a couple good ones in Heidelberg, like Vetters and Heidelberg 1603. Bergbrau (Leimen) wasn't bad. Most of my friends (including many of the girls) drank hefeweizen. I prefer pils. Some of the local stuff in the Bay Area make up for it, like Gordon Biersch, Tied House or Faultline. Mmm... beer. Dough - the stuff that buys me beer Ray - the guy who brings the beer Me - the one who drinks the beer Far - a long way to get beer So - it's time to have a beer La - I'll drink another beer Tea - no thanks, I'm drinking beer Which will bring us back to Doh! Vlad 0 #9 October 12, 2003 By....pisswater...you mean corona right?*** By pisswater I mean any beer, made with the high amount of adjuncts(=add junk)- rice, corn, maize. Those beers do not have a taste of either hops or maltiness. They include Corona, Bud, Miller, Coors, and some others.
DexterBase 1 #10 October 12, 2003 Franziskaner. A belgium Hefeweisen. Very tasty.... Hands down the best beer in the world.
McDuck 0 #11 October 12, 2003 Guinness. Definitely. Ever since I spent time in Ireland and had true Guinness on tap on a regular basis, everything else pales by comparison. Even Guinness here in the States can't compare. It's nasty here, but over there, it's like a meal in a glass. skycutie 0 #14 October 12, 2003 My favorite beer is Chimay, a Belgian trapistine beer. But it's so hard to get. Those nuns really know how to make good beer! But one of my accounts is Coors Light, so I guess I should say Coors Light is one of my favorite beers.... tbrown 26 #15 October 12, 2003 Depends on the season. In hot weather I like Pilsener Urquell and Corona with a lime. In the fall & winter I go for Fuller's London Pride and their Best Bitter, Anchor Steam, and Guiness Stout. Don't like Hefeweizens very much, the "spicy" taste doesn't appeal. miked10270 0 #19 October 12, 2003 Ok, Guinness, a lot of the British "Cask-Ales", anything with as little gas as possible. Failing which, a couple of pints of the attached, which I'm guessing is called "Kittenmorder", a German beer... So "Nichts fur Arbeit Sicher" Mike.
