It's just the usual socialist drivel. "Mother Jones" - yeah, that's an unbiased source. Seems like a lot of people can't distinguish between reporting and op-ed.

Quade, you are totally right here. The US media did under-report things during and after the Iraq war and still does.
I remember seing a documentation about the media during the war. One thing i can recall was the comment of a reporter (i think from fox news) that she felt bad that she did not and could not report everything she wanted, up to the extent that she wanted to. In this case she was talking about civilian casualties.
I guess there is a simple explaination for why this had to be. Private media has to show what the people want to see, or else nobody will watch it.
