RevJim 0 #10 October 16, 2003 Quote Answer: Not the Cubs. Bwahaha You know, I have a favorite Football team. A favorite Baseball team as well. Same goes for Hockey, basketball, Rugby, MLS, and 4 way. I do NOT, however, have a single team I hate enough to rip on, and root againt just because I dislike them. In fact, it's quite pathetic. It's your life, live it! Well I do - and I am not the only one. Have an apartment full of people here doing the happy dance here tonight. diverdriver 6 #12 October 16, 2003 You know, I'm having flash backs of 1984 when the Cardinals were robbed by a bad call at first base by Don Deckinger. He called one of the Royals safe when he was clearly out. They fell apart and lost. Then they lost the 7th game to lose the world series. Guh...... beowulf 1 #17 October 16, 2003 Yeah me too. If the Cubs are not there I don't care. Its the first and only team my dad ever took me to see as a kid. Till I was in second or third grade I thought that Chicago was the capital of Illinois. "Springfield! Where the hell is Springfield!" Is what I said when the teacher told me what the capital is. To me Chicago will always be the capital of Illinois. Go Cubs
diverdriver 6 #18 October 16, 2003 95 losses in 2002 season. Enter Dusty Baker. Cubs go to NLCS. Had they finished high in the standings at the end of this season many would have been fairly happy. Because we got into the post season and actually won the first series and was up 3-1 in the NLCS it seems like a disapointment. Well, it is, but in perspective......95 losses last year.....NLCS this year....not too shabby.Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125
