What are the chances?

I have a question for you females running amuck! It is quite obvious that skydivers need to be with skydivers, right? That is the only way that the relationship is going to work, correct? If at anytime you disagree, feel free to stop me!
I have come to the conclusion that for the most part, the women that want the mushy, romantic, loving, trusting relationship in a man, no longer exist! Now, if any of you disagree, feel free to flog me at this time. I am a skydiver from bama-land that keeps getting his hopes up for no reason!:(

I think there's quite a few relationships out there that one person skydives, the other doesn't. In my opinion, I think it would be easier for skydivers to date other skydivers because they both know they want to jump & will not have someone constantly on their a$$es to stop jumping & spend more time with then yadda yadda yadda............you get the picture! Every situation is different!

I have found that it is easier for me to date a skydiver. I like to hang out at the dz after jumping on Saturday sometimes and have a few beers with friends and if your partner doesn't skydive they don't understand really.
I have been with my man for 3 years this month (on and off) and we still have the mushy loving relationship that anyone else has. He is romantic and loving and trusting and everything that I want out of a man.
I am from Alabama, where do you jump? Never got the chance to jump there though. We are going for Christmas and I want to jump while there since it is my home. Where would you suggest going?

It just so happens that I, too am in Alabama. I highly recommend Skydive Alabama located in Cullman. I have been to over 20 different DZ's and this one by far has the best enviroment!! Come join us and bring a friend!!!;) Where are you from in Bama?

Just by sheer numbers most of the relationships skydivers have are with non-skydivers (there aren't very many female jumpers). I guess it depends on the degree in which you are in the sport. I have just dated skydivers the past year and I like it much better as I'm actively involved in it.

Come on, you can do better than that. You should be able to whisk anyone off there feet. :P

Hmm, but what happens if its a messy breakup with someone you met at the DZ? That's just gonna kill then environment.

I think that finding someone you click with in general is not an easy thing, and as the cliche goes "You will find it when you are not looking" is really rather true!!!

I don't believe that a relationship will just work if u meet a skydiver, there needs to be alot more to it than just that!! Respect, attraction, friendship, some one who can make u laugh is so important, if they skydive well thats a bonus

Now if u meet a skydiver who rocks your world *I think I have* then look forward to some interesting two ways, out landings and kiss passes!:)
Don't feel disheartened, you will find some one who looks at you like you are the most amazing person alive!! Keep the faith;)

Really? Hun, I find that's they only type of girl I can find. Sometimes I want to put up and ad:
Wanted, fun, outgoing girl, not soft skinned, who will tell me when I'm being a jerk. Willing to train.

There are a lot of 'casual' women out there. Now we want more of a friend, but we want our special friend to treat us special - make sense?

As to drama @ the dz... if you just act like rational adults & maintain a respect for eachother - there should be no mood spoiler if the relationship ends.

Women are all different but if you check out this thread, there are a lot of similarities as to what we like in 'our 'men'.

What guys do we can't get enough of

There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.

I have actually lived in Decatur, Boaz, Guntersville, Harvest, Birmingham. I live in Austin, TX now but will be in B'ham and Huntsville and Decatur and Boaz for the Christmas Holidays and want to come jump while I am there. What kind of plane do you guys fly in Cullman? I had a friend that used to jump in Cullman (I think) Shane (don't know last name) until he went into the Army. His step dad owns my home DZ. Also, what days and hours are you guys open? Is it only a weekend DZ? My home DZ is only open on weekends and holidays.
Thanks

Yes! It's my home dz. I lived in B'ham and moved to Nashville recently but still make the drive because I love it there... :)

I'm actually not sure about when the king air is going to fly that week. It's always up on the weekends of course, but usually the cessna is flown on the weekdays. Keep checking the SA Forum and it will keep you posted on that kind of stuff.

See ya soon!!!!!
