greybeard 0 #1 October 17, 2003 I've recently been shopping for a used PD176R. Everybody that responds seems to think that they should make a profit on their 6 or 7 year old reserve. Considering the price paid 6 or 7 years ago, plus the 40 repack cycle recommended by PD, most reserves are nothing more that exspensive 'car covers' after 12 years. Why is it that everything I own is used up old shit, and whatever anybody else has is 'gold'.

PhreeZone 20 #3 October 17, 2003 The 40 repacks that PD has is a send back to manufactor for recertification. I've seen a few that have went through it, been recertified and started into another 40 repack cycle.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
diablopilot 2 #4 October 17, 2003 OH GOSH, they haven't been using that BAD word again have they? Profit. So dirty. Beause it's their reserve, not yours. Are they trying to charge you retail or something? Go get a new one. They're not that expensive.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. SkydiveNFlorida 0 #6 October 17, 2003 They hold value well. You could always buy new: http://marketplace.amazia.com/para-service/22.asp?cn=152126&affid=&page=22&pagenumber=&sgldbl= I bought a used pd reserve and it costed me about 150$ less than a new one. But, it's still 150$ that I can spend on something else, and the reserve is completely airworthy as per my rigger:) So, i'm very happy! :) Angela.
