sunnydee123 0 #1 October 20, 2003 OK well Saturday was beautiful in Sebastian Florida yet I had family obligations and could not play in the sky . Show up Sunday ready to go, as the clouds roll in, rain hovers in the distance and people grow impatient and start leaving the DZ (oh no....not enough to get up loads...quick - think).....so we put up a quick hop and pop load....yippy! OH WAIT...did I forget to mention we also had 20mph winds...it was fun none the less but the skies were NOT looking favorable for the rest of the day and since I'm not a "swooper" yet, hop and pops are not my idea of the best day, so Marco....the Planner of all planners comes up with an idea, talks to the pilot, pilot talks to the DZ and his boss, we put together the numbers and before ya know it, we are gathering people to chip in and get the plane to fly us all to Lake Wales for Nationals............took some "planning" but we did it....Marco did it!!!! 2.5 hour drive turned into a 24 minute flight into gorgeous blue skies and a place FILLED with TONS of talent. It was AWESOME and a handful of us even made a few jumps while there. Walked around, talked to old friends, made some new ones and then left Nationals IN STYLE - by flying our Caravan back home. How cool of a weekend is that.....make a hop and pop at my home DZ, FLY into Nationals, make some jumps, fly home and do another hop and pop at sunset. My log book looks SWEET after yesterday. So how was YOUR weekend?!?!?!!?!?!? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

sunnydee123 0 #4 October 20, 2003 Well since many had not been to Lake Wales before there were waivers and paperwork that needed to be done before jumping so we FLEW in but still....it was pretty cool to arrive like that....and then leave like that. The gang at Sebastian rocks! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

She was doing her first jump after a hard opening that hurt her. She has her canopy back and relined. It all went well. She said to tell you "Hi" if I spoke to you. So . . . "Hi!" I am so terrible with names...it's right there, but I just cant put a brain cell on it. Only 12 more days till Florida!I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

sunnydee123 0 #20 October 20, 2003 OK deal.....after all, fair is fair! Maybe you could make a jump or two with him, he's a great flyer. I mean, if people like Mike Swanson and Rook invite him on jumps that has to mean something right .....and I'm not biased either - I sware! See ya soon enough! I'm curious to know if other peeps have had weekends like this before, start at one DZ, zip to another one a few hours away then come back home - all in one day and having jumped in both places. Man...I'm still on cloud 9. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Perris and Elsinore hosted a "dueling dz's" meet one weekend. The team I was on started at Perris - we did our dirt dive, got on Perris' Otter, flew over to Elsinore and jumped, then packed up and did our dirt dive at Elsinore, got on their Otter, flew over to Perris and jumped, etc. Four rounds - two into Elsinore out of Perris planes, two into Perris out of Elsinore planes. It was way too much fun.
WrongWay 0 #22 October 20, 2003 SWEET. Yeah, I'd have to say he's good. I did some fun head down jumps with Bill Hughes (Missy's camera dude) this weekend, does that count? He's a damn good flyer, and a really nice guy too!! Man, I wanna get out there just to jump with some high caliber freeflyers. I'd so so damn thrilled just to do a four way hd dive with an actual PLAN to it. I gotta meet your bf!! Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.
