mailin 0 #5 October 21, 2003 Good Luck! Living in new england its a given that you will make chowdah at one point. I've made corn chowder and it was HARD! talk about time, and lots and lots of ingredients. It came out good though - worth the wait! ChileRelleno 0 #6 October 21, 2003 2-3 lbs of chopped clams (fresh raw) 6 cups of diced potatoes 4cups chopped onion 2 tblspns minced garlic 1lb of butter (to taste) 1 gal cream 1 gal whole milk salt/pepper (to taste) saffron (optional) Thickener- flour or ect... partially cook diced potatoes lightly sautee clams, onion and garlic combine cream, milk, and butter in a large stock pot, slowly bring to simmer. add potatoes and simmer till tender. add clams, onion and garlic simmer for 1/2 hr. thicken to desired consistency and season with salt/pepper to taste. now here's my kicker, season with saffron to taste! (very exspensive but damn well worth it) ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
