We got there fairly early this morning and other teams were already showing up to register as well. Quite a bit of a line as usual and this is still two days out. Made five jumps today working out the kinks of the drop zone and airplanes along the way. Couple issues with "interesting" jump runs and "interesting" landing patterns, but I think Scott Smith has seen this sort of thing before and will sort things out as quickly as the issues crop up. Lake Wales is pretty with ample supplies of water coming out of the sky to keep everything green. Our jump five today was pretty much just in time. I got a little water on the camera lenses and heard a bit of water even under canopy, but we stayed dry until after leaving the dz for the day. Yeah, it's a little humid, but I've been in worse and the only real issues were punching clou . . ., er, um, heavy industrial haze. Tomorrow's supposed to be more clear. That’s it for tonight. Well, this is quite a contrast to the weather we had previously. Teams were supposed to show up this morning at 7 am for a 15 minute call, but we've been on the ground so far with only the S & A folks making minimum altitude jumpruns. We have been expecting this all along, but were suckered in by the relatively good weather of the last few days. Oh well, we all have books and iPods and other stuff to keep our minds occupied until this burns off . . . or totally down pours . . . whichever comes first.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 1 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
