dterrick 0 #3 October 21, 2003 don: I see we have similar jump numbers and licenses. Tell us a story. What made you want to BASE? Did you take the school there? How might I make 2004 a destination event? Is it like your first jump again, or better... or different... PLFKING 4 #5 October 21, 2003 ...and the rest. I don't see how y'all have the patience to post pics.....it took me a good 30 minutes to re-size these to fit. Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all."
PLFKING 4 #6 October 21, 2003 Hey Dave -- I haven't done a BASE jump yet.....I just went to get pics, and to scout it out. I've heard that the Bridge is a pretty safe place for your first, because it opens up space-wise after exit (don't have to worry about cliff strikes or guy wires, etc). the only negative is the small landing area, but that doesn't bother me so much -- I've crashed-and-burned in tighter spaces than that. Bridge Day 2004 will be my first BASE jump. I bungee-jumped a few times before I started skydiving, and the Bridge just looks like a fantastic place to do a BASE from. Be sure to look at the pics closely -- there's a jumper in each one. Lewmonst told me I'd have to have an awesome lens, and she was right on -- even with a 400mm lens, it still looks like I was miles away from everything. That bridge and gorge are HUGE.....they completely dwarf everything around them. Beautiful place. Don"When in doubt I whip it out, I got me a rock-and-roll band. It's a free-for-all." dterrick 0 #8 October 21, 2003 Looks good to me. THANKS for posting the LZ. This gives me an idea of the challenge and I think I'm up to it. Perhaps we need to organize a dropzone.com BEER! BASE jump party next fall? Dave Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)

We prolly staggered past each other a bunch of times & never knew it, lol. Damn, I know it! I was there though, I swear! What a boogie, man! WooHoo! You probably saw one of our fearless leaders, Bubba, in the LZ. Ripcord made a jump with his son, Pullout. There were probably at least 30 Hellfish there - scattered. I went by the bar Friday night at 6pm and there were maybe 8 people in the entire place. Next year we will have to be way more organized.

I do recall on Thursday being in the trade show area and one guy pointed another guy to a beer cooler off in the corner that was reserved for the Hellfish. Heh. And yeah, Saturday was especially out of control. I saw security walking around with these looks on their faces that said "I see noothinnnng.... mnischalke 0 #21 October 22, 2003 Speaking of security... I saw her at around 2 am. She looked slightly like she'd been puddled or something. anybody heard from johnny 9lives? last I saw him, he was passed out, naked in a hottub at the Carolina RB cabin with his nose a few centimeters above the water. Hope he didnt' burn up another one. His pic in the sunday gazette-mail was sweeeeet. While the pic of your exit with brit is much cooler, I got to scan that fat-ass two-way exit my buddy rich and I pulled at 20 minutes to three. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.
