Online Radio

Recommended Posts

I just discovered the joys of online radio a week ago. I was going through withdrawals in Fresno, since I can't get LA Kings hockey radio way up here. So I went to NHL.com to try to find some web updates.

"NHL Radio - Listen now!" Can we talk? DAYUM! I was absolutely stoked, and thanked my honey profusely for DSL.

Kings play 7:30 tonight v. Buffalo. I'll be checking it out.:)

Hmmm.... I've been listening to radioio 80's lately.

Love that cheesy 80's music.;)

Yeah. Sure. I bet you weren't calling it "cheesy" back when you had the BIG hair, the entire contents of the local cosmetics shop on your face, and the frilly "New Romantic" clothes. THEN it was fresh, new, happening, a welcome change from Punk with all the safety pins, bondage trousers, ripped tops, Goth makeup...

Wait a minute... Bondage Trousers and ripped tops... Ahhhh.... (sudden nostalgic sigh at re-considered possibilities)

Actually... I didn't do the frills and makeup, or the safety pins and ripped shirts. I was more into Vans slip ons and Beachcomber Bills and OP pants with the velcro fly.... y'know, the California surfer wannabe kinda look.

I did own a pair of leg warmers and an Izod polo shirt though.

It's a good thing that very few photos of me from those days are still in existence.

Hmmm... Methinks that this particular post lacks piccy attachments:D

Any chance you are following the Fresno Falcons ?

Got to take my Bakersfield Condors. Pretty interesting league this year, part of the ECHL now.

Surprisingly good hockey.

Yeah, I plan on making it for a few games if I can. I fear I may have to travel to enemy territory (The Shark Tank) to get a fix of my beloved LA Kings, though I saw them just a few weeks ago in Vegas (surprisingly, those preseason Vegas games vs. the Avs are the best games of the year!)

I was gonna trek to Bake-town to see the Kings v. San Jose a few weeks ago, but I got tied up...

Yep, I made that game. Gots to tell ya though, Im not a Kings fan. I used to watch the Sharks play at the Cow Palace before they built the Tank. Kinda got a place in my heart for the Sharks. Woulda been great to hit that Bakersfield game with yaB|

I love trance/dance... I know.. I am old and not supposed to like it but I spent many a night in clubs in Europe...it just fits...

Locally we have a station from Nathan Hale High School. Its a program to introduce students to the business. and its actually quite good.

I am the total Digitally Imported fan.

Chuck, you are my new hero, bro! That one is now sitting on the top of my bookmarks.

I knew it rocked when I tuned into the Vocal Trance channel and it was playing the Armand VanBuren remix of Motorcycle's "As The Rush Comes" from the Swedish Freefly Festival Episode III trailer.B|B|B|
