lawrocket 3 #3 October 24, 2003 I had an arthroscopy several years ago that actually removed my partial tear and kept the slight remaining stable stuff. The pain from that was not bad at all. But, you've got bone implicated, and very little hurts liek boen pain. One piece of advice I was given is to go through your pain meds. Take them at regular intervals, for it is more difficult to turn down the pain than to keep the pain down. It's just like drinking water when it's hot - if you are thirsty, you are already down that road to dehydration. So, don't wait for the pain to start to take your meds., and take the lowest dose possible for effect. My wife is hotter than your wife.
