LouDiamond 1 #1 October 23, 2003 Ever had one of those days where you just needed a bit more excitement at the DZ?Check out this device, guarenteed to either be the life , or death, of the party. I had the opportunity to feel one of these first hand during some training I was doing and just let me say that it is a rush Check out the video footage of the device HERE Edited to add: I think this would be a good tool to have near the landing area for those people who can't follow the landing pattern or obey the rules. You disobey you gots to pay The best thing about this negative reinforcement is that after the 5 seconds ride the person could still make the next load. Lolie 0 #2 October 23, 2003 Badass. I think it's funny that they advertise it as being 60% smaller than the M26, then say the optional spare cartridge magazine "extends the handle for greater grip." -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become. Deuce 1 #6 October 24, 2003 Looks like a straight-up arm-bar hold. Is it a talon glove or something? (electrical stun glove?)

I gotta admit, I'm downloading the broadcast quality to watch, and probably lift a few images from......would mix in well with a couple skydiving videos I have in mind....It's your life, live it! Shark 0 #11 October 24, 2003 Dude, Some may constitute this as torture and it may result in a permanent ban from this forum; even though you may be a greenie. But, then again, you may have over 10,000 hits on this and you can be considered a troll. BTW, I like the idea and use of it as a tool against those who violate dz rules, landing patterns, etc. Hey, if I used one as part of the landing police, would I be considered a red neck? VectorBoy 0 #13 October 24, 2003 I almost got zapped with one of those by the hot blonde female argentinian vendor when I asked her "does it weld stainless thicker than 3/16 ths"? at an enforcement hardware convention not too long ago.
Aviatrr 0 #14 October 25, 2003 QuoteI had the opportunity to feel one of these first hand during some training I was doing and just let me say that it is a rush I haven't gotten zapped with one of those....but I have with the old style original Taser....that hurt like a bitch! It did give me a serious adrenaline rush after I recovered from it...but not something I care to do again.. Mike
LouDiamond 1 #15 October 25, 2003 QuoteI have with the old style original Taser.. The old style taser was more of an irritant and not super effective. There is a training video on the page showing the earlier models against a simulated attacker. The attacker was able to stab the user despite being tased up until the latest generation of taser(the one I got hit with). As soon as the attacker moved and juice was applied he went stiff as a board and couldn't move. It's a cool video to watch and some pretty big cops get taken down with it. I wouldn't classify it as an adrenaline rush but rather a very good attention getter. After the ride is over and you can move again you will comply with whatever they tell you. It's a weird experience."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
