American Eagle flight from LGA (LaGuardia) to DCA (Reagan National, Wash DC) is sitting in a corner of the tarmac awaiting an update on weather/congestion hold over DC...

The plane is packed/! Im on my PDA sitting with about 40 others on a Regional Jet (Embraer ?) ...in the dark...no engines...only the APU humming to give us power... I can see Riker's Island out my window.

Perhaps we'll be off the ground in an hour...*phooey*

Latest update: Still in NY, now back at the gate. But they're determined to get us into DC so we're waiting...longer...in the plane. This was originally a 7pm flight. The line is that DC ATC is having an equipment failure. Personally, I don't buy it.

Weather is an excuse used VERY OFTEN for delayed flights.... flow control ect.... hey blame the weather, then its not the airlines fault.
