2fat2fly 0 #1 October 28, 2003 I just talked to a guy with The Collings Foundation; he said that they're planning on having the B-17 at Rantoul next year at least. They're looking in to getting the B-24 ready also. Me thinks that I may go. If anyone's interested in seeing the planes, they are in Perry, Ga. this weekend and will be flying to Greenville, S.C. Sunday afternoon and will be there until Wednesday.I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
INSANEDADDY 0 #2 October 28, 2003 I watched an Airshow last weekend that flew B-17 and B-25's. Those radial engines sound mean as hell buzzing over you at 50 ft doing 200knots......I love WWII aircraft. You dont't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when.......You can only decide how you're going to live........NOW. -BASE 1605 Night BASE

happythoughts 0 #4 October 29, 2003 My dad also flew in one and bailed out at night under a round. I talked to him about a ride and he said that he wouldn't do it for free. Something about having used up all his luck. I did a jump from the B-17 with Johnny and Darrel. We went out the bomb bay door. I did it because it is a piece of history that may be gone one day. AirMail 0 #5 October 29, 2003 If it/they are there, I'm there. Well, I'm there anyway, but that'd be a bonus.-- It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Postal Rodriguez, Muff 3342
