lawrocket 3 #31 October 29, 2003 The Me-163 Komet used H2O2 as a propellant. Apparently the fuel lines were right behind the pilot. I remember reading somewhere that some of the pilots were horribly disfigured by it. One tale said that an unfortunate flier, doused with the highly corrosive chemical, literally dissolved in his seat. I know that H2O2 in concentrations above 30 percent is enough to easily flay off skin. So, I wouldn't doubt it is used in explosive concentrations of 90 percent. I'd rather have the end come from a 5000 psi explosion. I think it would be quicker. My wife is hotter than your wife.
goose491 0 #32 October 29, 2003 QuoteQuoteLots more thrust without much more complication. It would be, however, quite a bit more hazardous. Hydrogen Peroxide in the required concentration is pretty nasty stuff. That's what you pick out to bee more hazardous??? Not the liquid nitrogen suggested in option 1? Heheh, the pressurized water idea has been bounced around ever since the X-prize was suggested (at least, that's the first time I heard of it) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! quade 4 #33 October 29, 2003 Hmmm, maybe I've just had too much exposure to LN2 for entertainment purposes and only -think- it's pretty safe. I guess it all depends on what you're used to.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

While it is meant to disorient the brain, it also teaches the eye-brain to fend off any "out of body" experience with nausea. hahahahaLeroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio...
