weegegirl 2 #1 October 30, 2003 Here's the deal: I love my dropzone, I love my friends in Michigan, but I'm flat out sick of Michigan. I've been here for two years now and I can't seam to get used to it. I'm trying to figure out where I would go if I decided to relocate. Can you guys give me some suggestions??? Considering the following, where would you go? 1) Must have a good dropzone within 50 miles. 2) Must have decent weather conditions. 3) Must have an acceptable job market. 4) Must have an inspiring landscape. 5) Must have a reasonable cost of living. beowulf 1 #4 October 30, 2003 Hmmm not sure if anywhere would fit that criteria. Dallas, TX isn't bad. FL is a tough place to make a living. Those are the two places that I have lived other then Northern Illinois.

wmw999 2,545 #8 October 30, 2003 San Antonio or Austin (although the cost of living is probably better in San Antonio right now). Dallas has few landscape attributes that weren't introduced by people. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. FliegendeWolf 0 #13 October 30, 2003 Well, I left Ann Arbor in July for Boston, and I pretty much like it, but it doesn't really suit your criteria. How about that #$%& Broadway bridge? mouth 0 #20 October 30, 2003 I loved TX when I lived there. Rent in the Dallas area was very reasonable, entertainment was never ending, and they all talked like me. What more could a girl ask for??? I'm back in GA because of marriage, divorce, kids, grandparents, etc but would love to be in a larger more urban area with some fun things to do. Don't get me wrong in that I like "home" because it is beautiful but there isn't much to do if you are single in the smaller towns. ATL is great though... -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
weegegirl 2 #21 October 30, 2003 I have friends is Ashville, North Carolina. I love that place. It's gorgeous - right in the mountains. Cool little town with great people. Great cliffs, hikes, mountain biking, etc. BUT there's no dropzone nearby! Hey, what about the DC area? Anyone live there? Where would you skydive if you were from DC? weegegirl 2 #24 October 30, 2003 So, right now, it sounds like DZ.COM peeps prefer Texas, Arizona, and Florida the best. That's nice cuz they all have GREAT dropzones. Anything bad about any of those places???
DShiznit 0 #25 October 30, 2003 <--- Lives in Austin. Frankly, I'm getting sick of it. Yeah, the weather is decent, job market sucks (although I finally got another job), cost of living is outrageous. I have been in Texas all of my life (except occasional travel/army time) and I am looking for something new......... Oh, I am from Dallas - it's really dirty compared to Austin, but at least they can still drive up there. Traffic here is the worst!
