hooked 0 #4 November 2, 2003 Definitely go to the Pike Place Market. We have a fairly new Music Museum at the Seattle Center, so if you go to the Space Needle definitely go to the Experience Music Project(EMP). (If that would interest you) You can't miss it, it is a really odd building! Mt. Rainier is beautiful, so try to see that. If you can jump at Kapowsin, you will see that during the jump!!! Our weather has been cold though. Lots of 'crazy' places to see downtown or the Belltown area. It just depends on what your interests are. Lake Washington is beautiful with two 'floating bridges' and the Locks from Lake Union out to the Puget Sound is kind of touristy. Lots of great views from the waterfront downtown Seattle as well as the Shilshow area views of Puget Sound. sundevil777 102 #5 November 2, 2003 Take a ferry to one of the islands, but I suggest not trying to drive your car on, just walk on because it can be a long wait to get on with your car. Even if you stay on the ferry and come right back, it is a nice trip. Take a tour of the Boeing - Everett factory, if you're an aviation enthusiast. Or at least visit the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. It includes the old red barn where the Boeing Co. started. I was in the museum's skydiving display - pictures jumping into the Renton factory (thank you Rocky Kenoyer). Can anybody tell me if that display is still up? If you like beer, take a tour of the Rainier or Red Hook or Olympia brewery. Rainier may not be the best beer, but their party room is awesome (huge wood beam type of structure). Have fun!People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
hooked 0 #6 November 2, 2003 Yes, take a ferry ride! The Museum of Flight is awesome and they will be getting a Concorde this week! The old Rainier Beer building is no longer occupied by Rainier Brewery, what a loss. The Red Hook Brewery and St. Michelle Winery are good tours, just north of Seattle in Woodinville. Have a good time and let us know what you do see while you are there! Jan -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. Gawain 0 #10 November 2, 2003 After the rain up there lately, you might consider SCUBA gear... Actually aside from Seattle my favorite parts of Washington are south along the Columbia River. Everyone's suggestions are pretty good.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Amazon 7 #12 November 3, 2003 Uh.. bring your rig.. there is a DZ or two or three all within an hour of Seattle.... Just watch what the weather is going to be.. if the clouds are low..welcome to hop and pop land. If its going to be clear/...... you can't beat beaing a tourist from a jump hip.. each of the 3 DZ all have a VERY different view. Kapowsin has the turbines.. and Mt Raiier.. Blue Skies Has the Olypic Mountains and part of the south Puget Sound...and the Bremerton Navy Base in the distance... and Snohomish has the North Cascades... the American Alps.. as well as views of the San Juan Islands and the North Puget Sound.. out to Vancouver Island. Take in the night life of Seattle... or if its rainy.. definitely do the Needle.. and EMP and the Aquarium. LOTS to do.. so little time.

I just went to a Day of the Dead/Halloween party there Saturday night. It was cold as hell and wet from all the rain/snow but an awesome space for parties. Had a blast.
