TV show Tactival to Practical; parachuting

Recommended Posts

Last night, while watching Mail Call on the History Channel, there was an ad for the show Tactical to Practical, saying that tonight (Tuesday) at 900 pm Pacific time, that they would show how parachuting evolved from military use to what it's like in the civilian world today. Sounds interesting. That's channel 62 if you've got At&T in the bay area.

The show just wrapped.

The first half was about the development of tracked vehicles; the second half was about parachuting.

There was some great sport footage.

A Super Otter was featured, tail number N3000Z.

The DZ was obviously in CA, but it didn't look like Perris - Elsinore, maybe?

Quade, did you do any work on that project?

I didn't realize it was on, but I watch the Hitler Channel...I mean, the History Channel quite a bit so I just happen to catch it on last night when it played again at Midnight.

Good show, I really dug the stuff about the Smoke Jumpers. Man, they use some old-school gear for jumping.
