jmpnkramer 0 #5 November 10, 2003 QuoteI bet that would have helped out on Saturday at the DZ to get more loads up. Or getting to the DZ before Noon usually helps as well. I got a total of six jumps in. It was a beautiful Night jump. You should have let Galen stay and jump. Laters, KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!!! The REAL KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER! Aviatrr 0 #9 November 10, 2003 It's a shame to see such a piece of history go by the wayside.. It kinda puts an end to the idea of any supersonic airliners in the next couple decades....I don't think anybody is working on designing one anymore. Now they seem to be gravitating more toward the transsonic region...but under 1.0. Maybe one day I'll get to fly an SSBJ...since my chances of flying a fighter are all but gone now. usedtajump 1 #12 November 10, 2003 The Concord really never proved to be very practical for commercial purposes. It was mostly just publicity for British Airways / Air France, an extravagance for a tiny group of elite and a very uneconomical way to turn jet fuel into noise and smoke. The older I get the less I care who I piss off. Paige 0 #20 November 10, 2003 That is definately a trip worth taking! Thanks for the tip, I'll have to take a vaca. and go investigate Imagine a jump run from the concord? What luxury that would have been. I wonder how many different DZ's you could hit in one day?Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
gmanpilot 0 #21 November 10, 2003 Great pics, I was lucky enough to see the Concord fly in person. It was pretty spectacular. Almost as spectacular as one day a few years back while enjoying a beer at a concert, I looked up and saw a 747 fly by with the space shuttle stuck on top of it. I swear to god, I thought someone had slipped me a mikkey. That's something you just don't see every day._________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.
