bch7773 0 #3 November 9, 2003 I just use an optical one. I kinda understand what you mean... once you get used to using a track wheel, its such a pain in the *ss to use just a plain ol' two button mouse. MB 3528, RB 1182

darkvapor 0 #8 November 9, 2003 I have the same mouse as you, and I love it too. I always end up trying to use the thumb buttons on my mouse at work. MS is coming out with a newer version of that mouse, the roller wheel will now rotate left and right as well like a joy stick. Don't know how useful it will be, but maybe I can re-assign them to something I use a lot. This MS mouse has really stood some abuse. I've only had one problem during the 2-3 years I've had it. The wires inside (the mouse cord) broke inside the cable right at the connection point inside the mouse. So I took the mouse apart, resoldered the connections (hardwired, had to cut the connector off), and now it has worked perfectly since. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/features/tiltwheel.mspx

miked10270 0 #10 November 9, 2003 MS optical trackball. The only way to go! At least the damn thing is always in the same place for my hand and you don't roll off the edge of the mat. Mike. Darius11 12 #11 November 9, 2003 Ok bro how long do you use the computer for. If you use the mouse more then 4 hours a day you should look at an ergonomic mouse. I’ll put a couple of links for you. Edit the links didn't comeup http://www.officeorganix.com/ContourrollerBall.http http://www.officeorganix.com/Verticalmouse1.htm http://www.officeorganix.com/keyb3.htm That is a few there is a lot more out there. My suggestion is if you use the computer for long periods at a time. Do not use a wireless mouse. The batteries that you put in them make them heavy and they put way too much pressure on your wrist.
