mccordia 74 #1 November 7, 2003 ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/misc/mccordia-flevomatrix-65mb.mpg Every year, Paraclub Flevo (www.paraclub.nl) has a summer boogie. We take the plane/rigs/bus, and go abroad to a different dz for a week filled with fun and skydiving. At the end of every day of jumping, there is a 'video of the day' compilation. The past years, we had made a small intro, which would play at the start the video every day... This year however, we decided to make a short movie instead of the usual intro. The movie is about the missing 'video of the day' intro...matrix styleee This intro will also be on the Paraclub Flevo Boogie-DVD that will come out at the end of this year Enjoy!!! pilotdave 0 #3 November 10, 2003 Might want to try compressing it a bit more. Most people aren't going to download 65 megs. And sorry, I haven't even gotten a chance to download it yet. Stupid work and skydiving always getting in the way! Dave
Aviatrr 0 #4 November 10, 2003 It only took me like 7 or 8 minutes on a DSL connection.....not bad.. I started the download, went and got the mail, read it, and it was done when I got back.. Interesting video.....I expected a bit more skydiving....but it was nicely made...though the actors could use a little bit of.....ummm....practice... mccordia 74 #5 November 10, 2003 The hardest part was for all the 'actors' to keep there laugh...there is not one single shot in there where someone is no 2 seconds away from breaking into laughter.. The acting was corny on purpoise..I think JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

kevin922 0 #7 November 10, 2003 Dude that's f'in awesome.. someone has some serious talent.. how long did it take to put that thing together?? From a promo for a boogie standpoint i can't say that it really provides much info about the boogie, however from a pure video standpoint the thing is too cool. mccordia 74 #8 November 10, 2003 QuoteDude that's f'in awesome.. someone has some serious talent.. how long did it take to put that thing together??Quote One weekend of filming. About 2 hours of filming on saterday, and about 2 more hours on sunday....that was all the time we had. This whole video was a 'last moment' idea..:) We where also gonna have a whole fight in the sky, but sadly we only had the oppertunity to make 1 jump for the film..(to little time) The editing took about a week and a half or so. The thing was finished just in time for the boogie.. QuoteFrom a promo for a boogie standpoint i can't say that it really provides much info about the boogie, however from a pure video standpoint the thing is too cool. I't was only ment as entertainment for all the jumpers at night (during the boogie), and not to recruit people to come to the boogie or anything. The joke also probably is that the actors all are well-known jumpers from our club/DZ... Next year we're planning on a spoof of Cutaway or Point break (not sure yet), and there will be more skydiving involved in the film :)JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete? The special effects might not be hollywood quality but damn, that's some amazing stuff. Ever thought about doing a "full length short film" with a skydiving plot? Maybe something a little more realistic than the real movies about skydiving? C'mon, git to work, and get quentin tarantino to turn it into a full length movie!
 pilotdave 0 #17 November 13, 2003 I think you should go with a totally unrealistic plot... one NOT involving drugs, smuggling, or the oh so common professional speedstar team. Keep it unrealistic... no chatting in freefall, freefall limited to only a minute, stuff like that. I know, it's stupid and not really believable but it's more exciting that way.
