Tonto 1 #26 November 14, 2003 Quote So, Majority rules. But Kallend will tell you you are an idiot if you believe it. But hey, Kallend is in the 14% bracket. Dude. What is it with you and Kallend? Just PM him and ask for a pic, get a room, and break out the Astro Glide...Or you could just use a spell checker... tIt's the year of the Pig.
storm1977 0 #27 November 14, 2003 LOL .... I especially like the "Astro Glide" comment. What's wrong with spelling incorrectly? No one complains about ebonics, but proper spelling and grammar in an online thread .... Tonto 1 #28 November 14, 2003 I guess the spelling is just a thing, you know? I suck at it most of the time. A friend who does my website, Blue Skies can't spell at all, and doesn't give a damn. Hasn't slowed him up a bit! You'll probably come across plenty on the site. Oops - just checked. Blue Skies is down... Need to follow up on that! tIt's the year of the Pig. TomAiello 26 #29 November 14, 2003 QuoteDude.. it is the CONSERVATIVES who do not readily accept change... think about this... New fangled idea that world is round....Quote Doesn't that depend on your definition of "liberal" and "conservative"? Any time someone suggests CHANGING government budgets, for example, in a downward direction, it is the "liberals" who refuse to readily accept the change. In California, when a ballot initiative to CHANGE the state's policy on affirmative action, it was the "liberals" who did not readily accept change. A willingness to change, or a desire not to do so, is hardly a defining characteristic of "liberal" or "conservative" as such labels are used in modern American politics. Rather "liberal" and "conservative" are used to denote a particular (and often varied) set of values. "Liberals" and "Conservatives" are those who desire society to change in the direction of their own values (hence away from many other values). The definition of "liberal" as "accepting of change", is (perhaps sadly) outmoded these last 100 years.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
 kallend 2,146 #30 November 14, 2003 QuoteLOL .... I complain about Ebonics. I haven't seen any of Jesus's work that hasn't been edited and redacted over the centuries, so I don't know whether He could spell.... So when someone posted a poll taken on what Channels for news they watched, and then if they thought SH was connected to 9/11. That poll was OK. But when a poll which you don't agree with is taken, it must be bogus.... I get it. I don't think you do. In the case of a poll being taken on the belief of whether or not Hussein was involved with the attacks of September 11, 2001, it's a valid question. To wit, how many people have been misinformed. They may have the opinion that Hussein was involved, but it has absolutely no bearing, whatsoever, on if he actually did or not. The poll is simply looking for people that "believe". In the case of media bias, it's also a matter of belief and doesn't mean that there actually IS any bias, only that some people believe there is.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
 storm1977 0 #32 November 14, 2003 Ok, so you complain about ebonics...
