crapflinger2000 1 #1 November 13, 2003 If so, please give me a rough translation for the following words (I am getting these off a software license contract if the context helps at all): 1) Migreres (I am guessing "migration") 2) navngivne Before anyone posts a link to an online dictionary, forget it, I already tried. Thanks! __________________________________________________ What would Vic Mackey do?

mikkey 0 #6 November 13, 2003 Quote2. navngivne specific named persons Thinking about it, you are right. Meaning depends on how its used/grammar: 1) navngive: naming 2) navngivne (person): specific named (person) Faber got me there, but he still can't speak English... --------------------------------------------------------- When people look like ants - pull. crapflinger2000 1 #8 November 13, 2003 Thanks all! The specific wording is: "[program name] samt 121 navngivne brugere [program name] migreres til 121 applicationsbrugere [program name]." I interpret this to mean something along the lines of: "Migration of 121 named users of [program name] to 121 application users of [program name]". "migration" may sound out of context here but trust me it is not. Thanks again. __________________________________________________ What would Vic Mackey do? Lolie 0 #10 November 13, 2003 Yes, everyone is right: migrere - (vb.) migrate; move from one point to another. Quotehow ever any heard from her? i miss my student Jeg skal snart skrive til dig! Jeg har haft travlt med skole. Jeg planlægger stadig at studere i Danmark næste år... skole året begynder den første uge i august, og der er en valgfri spørge time i otte uger før skole begynder; så vil jeg sandsynligvis rejse i slutningen af maj! Det er så snart! -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become. vonSanta 0 #12 November 14, 2003 QuoteThanks all! The specific wording is: "[program name] samt 121 navngivne brugere [program name] migreres til 121 applicationsbrugere [program name]." I'd translate that as "and migrate 121 named users of [program name] to 121 application users of [program name]". In other words, turn 121 named users of the program into 121 application users of the program. The grammar of that sentence (in Danish) is unclear and redundant. Written by computer geeks, no doubt . I think you've understood it correctly. Miranda: oooh that Danish thing you got going is sooooo hot! Not to mention pretty accurate. Soooo, hvor skal du studere? Aarhus og Aalborg har de bedste universitet . Lyt ikke til Faber; han har ikke en anelse hvad han snakker om. Aarhus og Aalborg har de bedste universitet . Lyt ikke til Faber; han har ikke en anelse hvad han snakker om. Jeg skal studere i København, fordi mit universitet har en sammenhæng med dem; undskyld. Faber- Jeg har set hans gear. I er sjove! Now maybe we should all take this to PM's... I'm guessing there aren't a lot of people who are benifitting from these posts. -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become.
