wingnut 0 #1 November 17, 2003 okay so the twin bonanza at my dz got a new heater and with temps at 30 or so on the ground the whole way up to altitude is great. it's a little heater that burns some of the planes fuel and blows the heated air into the cabin.(3500btu)... it rocks and almost sucks cuz it will fry your leg off if you have it near the hot air outlet.... jumping in the rockies in the winter isn't so bad....... well if you are at my dz at least.... only bad thing is if you are one of the two people sitting forward in the plane (jumpers that is, the pilot doesn't count) (what you thought our pilot sat backwards..lol) get just a tad bit chilly but so much better than withouth a heater..... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
mikemc 0 #2 November 17, 2003 I wish it did. Door doesnt fit well on the dornier and it gets bloody cold if you are near the back. Mind you its only 12-15 minutes to 15k so its tolerable.
