hawkflight 0 #1 November 17, 2003 So yesterday was to be "the big day"....2 weeks after my first tandem and the day finally arrived my first AFF class and jump!!!! like fingernails on a chalkboard I endured the brutal 2 weeks between jumps......Wake yesterday at 5am beautiful morning not a cloud in the sky......meet my budy Chris after a quick bite to eat it's off to the DZ....get to drop zone 8am ...a few clouds moving in nothing major.. watch them take up two flights of jumpers then head to trailor for class.......11am break ......a few more clouds rolling in but their still flying......back to class........finish class.. pass written test 100% correct leave trailor to walk to hangar....AND IT'S Raining with no end in sight...........CAN YOU FEEL MY PAIN......so broken and defeated I re-schedule for next weekend and cry softly to myself as a begin the drive home............Tom............................... ifics 0 #5 November 17, 2003 Same kind of thing happened to me, but mine was wind, which is a bit worse. You get to see loads still going up but you can't join because of the 14mph wind, went up the next day though I feel you're pain, no biggy, it will just be that much better when the time comes.
