bill2 0 #26 November 18, 2003 Alaska if you're a good skier. Never been there myself but the pictures are incredible. I was skiing in the Dolomites in Italy a few years ago, great skiing over a huge area (450 lifts or so) over several mtn ranges into small towns and then out again after a beer or something to eat. freeflir29 0 #27 November 18, 2003 I have skiied/boarded all over Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Canada (Western.) Some of the finest was Utah. They have one canyon that has several differen't resorts. Nice powder and great facilities. Silver Mountain in North Idaho is very cool. It would take several days to do all the runs. One cool thing about that place is that there is no driving up the mountain. Just pull off the freeway and then ride the world's longest Gondola to the top. Takes about 10-15 minutes. Nice place. For some of the best in CHEAP trees and powder hit Red Mountain and White Water in BC, Canada. You are paying with Canuk dollars so your money goes farther. Awesome snow with great tree sections and "back country" tree boarding. Town is fairly boring though.
