kevin922 0 #401 August 13, 2003 QuoteCount me in on being in Eloy this year for the Holiday Boogie (I had such a good time last year). For most of the boogie, I will be hanging around the darkside, but I'm sure I could be convinced to sacrifice one day for doing some flat work. I'm thinking that a spot on an intermediate 4-way group would be right. I currently have 380+ jumps (I'm thinking I'll be 450+ by the Eloy rolls around), but most of my jumps have been done in the darkside. Have you put a wingsuit on yet? :)
bbarnhouse 0 #402 August 13, 2003 QuoteIs anyone going to be organizing the freefliers Oh mama hell yeah! Dropzone.com has a pair of biotches that will be jumping the entire boogie just with us. No light weights here....Omar Alhegelan and Greg GassonI will have a daily sign up for jumps with these handsome men. The only thing I ask is that folks cover their pack jobs. With them jumping back to back all day with 4 rigs each, it's the least we can do. Cannuck send me a PM if you want on one of the 4-ways.It is easier for me to track rather than coming back to the thread all the time. Thanks! xoxox Jari will be here from Birdman as well as Chuck, Lou, Kim, Chris,Ash Dusty and myslef to teach and organize flocking dives. BB

Those guys will make me nervous! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

LOL this is all about fun baby girl! No nervousness here cuz they are just people. Most of the freeflyers in Eloy are champions. Guess that means you may just have to get stuck with me! SkymonkeyONE 4 #412 August 13, 2003 QuoteWhat about biggish RW stuff? Remi, I did a couple of days with Philip last year. The smallest thing I did was about 24 way and the largest was 60 way. Only one zoo the entire time. Chuck

CanuckInUSA 0 #416 August 13, 2003 QuoteHave you put a wingsuit on yet? :) Yes I have one (count 'em) birdman jump under my belt. It was fun, but it requires new (expensive) gear and I still have my freeflying and swooping goals I'm working on. But I'm sure one day down the road I'll get myself a birdman suit. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

bbarnhouse 0 #419 August 13, 2003 QuoteAre there any requirements to be met before one could learn to jump a birdman First jump recommendations from BirdMan is a minimum of 200 jumps during the last 18 months before receiving one on one instruction to fly a wing suit. At Rantoul however that number was raised to 350. I will have set criteria posted after discussion with Jari. Again all information will be listed in the PUB in the next 2 weeks. Cheers! LouDiamond 1 #421 August 13, 2003 For those with a minimum of 200 jumps a First flight Course is needed which includes a 1 on 1 jump with an instructor. For those with 500+ jumps a First flight course isn't mandatory but recommended. For WFFC we raised the mimimums to 350 jumps due to traffic in the sky and the potential for bad things to happen quickly if instructions wern't followed properly. We did things a bit different at WFFC for many reasons but I don't forsee any of the same issues happening in Eloy. At this time a definate jump minimum hasn't been established for the Eloy boogie. B2 will be able to provide more info on this and the Eloy boogie as the date grows nearer and I'm sure it will be posted in the PUB as she has already stated. It's gonna be Smack booty in Eloy baby! Edited to add: beaten to the punch, damn I need to learn to type faster LOL"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
