You have to remember that this is an employers market and they can do whatever they want which includes not talking to you after you send them your resume. Out of 10 job leads I had, I maybe heard back from one of them for a phone interview or just to "talk" to me after sending my resume. My motto when sending out resumes is "send it and forget it." Maybe make one follow-up call if you really really want this job, but otherwise just forget about it. If they really like what they see on your resume - they'll call. And post your resume everywhere...all the job boards, give to friends and family. I got my current job when some recruiter found my resume on some job board that I had posted 6 months earlier. After being employed for almost a year, I still get a call or two a month. Edit: Oh, and next time you e-mail a resume, ask for a read or return receipt, so you know they got it and/or read it. Some people are dicks and refuse to send a receipt, but most will comply and that's one way of knowing that your resume was received. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah!
