tinfoil 0 #27 November 17, 2003 QuoteQuote Yes it would. The ipod doesn't work well for long periods of getting jarred around - no matter what they show on the commercials. I've had my Nomad II for a couple of years. Still works great You're wrong... and judging by your statement above, you don't even own an iPod. There are many great mp3 players out there and the ipod is definitely one of them Yup. The old 20gb version had an issue if you kept shaking it, but that issue is more or less solved in the new iPods. With a 32mb internal buffer, and much improved firmware, i can't recall that last time I heard about a new iPod having problems after being jarred. “- - Sumo is the greatest of sports. gmanpilot 0 #28 November 17, 2003 I have somethiong similar called the Nomad Muvo. It's the size of a bic lighter, and is essentially a 128Meg usb drive that plays Mp3's. No tuner, no moving parts, very easy. Cheap too......99 bucks._________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. ypelchat 0 #29 November 18, 2003 QuoteMine has 256mb, right now I have 50 songs on it, and it's only half full. So I'll go with being able to put at least 90 songs on it. Only takes 1 AAA battery and supposedly can go for 14 hrs, I'll be happy with 10. CF MP3 players are the way to go. I did a ton of research before I bought one, and with the easy of adding or removing files I just don't see the need for a HD MP3. Plus with the small size you can wear it anywhere. Yeah! Absolutely. Flash based players is the future for portable MP3 players IMHO. I'll post pics of my MuVo NX 256Mb player, when i get it. Yves.

ypelchat 0 #31 November 20, 2003 QuoteI just bought a Creative MuVo NX 256Mb direct from Creative. It should arrive this week. Update: I got my Creative MuVo NX 256Mb yesterday. I just can't tell you guys how i'm pleased with this little marvel of technology. It's not bigger than a keychain, yet is easy to use, and the sound quality is just incredible. I strongly recommend you take a look at this player. Yves.

nacmacfeegle 0 #33 November 20, 2003 I've had a sony Clie for a couple of years. MP3 player (well actually ATRAC3 same as minidiscs) and I can watch downloads from skydivingmovies.com on it too, or even my own stuff!. 11.5 hours playtime on a full charge. Oh, and it'll do all the office stuff on it as well.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. ypelchat 0 #34 November 20, 2003 QuoteQuoteI got my Creative MuVo NX 256Mb yesterday. How much did you pay for it? It sells for $199.00, direct from Creative, but if you're a little patient, you could find it for like $169.00 - $189.00, from best buy.com or other online stores. The problem is they're often out of stock, and the player is often "back order". Creative seem to have them in stock regularly though. I'm really impressed. I can load it with + - 4 hours of music, and you drag and drop MP3 files directly to the player, using "My Computer". It plays .MP3, .WMA and .WAV. Yves.
