freeflygoddess 0 #2 November 20, 2003 A great day to me would be heading out to the DZ and jumping non stop...without having to pack and without worrying about how much money I was spending... Oh wait I do that every weekend.... Well that is why I do it because I love it and I deserve it.
ZoneRat 0 #3 November 20, 2003 I'd been care-taking for a friend who'd undergone neck surgery for blown disks. While she was a complete gem, I still missed being able to get out and about. Plus it's kinda hard to be a constant source of possitive support 24-7. At the end of the second week I'm embarrased to admit that my mood was getting a bit sour. Seeing this, we arranged for some other to come hang out at the house for a bit, and I got a weekend of play. Saturday I visited a local fencing club who just happened to be hosting a impromtu foil tournament. Sweated my silly ass off. Damn near won it. Saturday night, there was a skydiver house warming party. Partied until 5:45am. Crashed there with 5 others. Sunday we went to a DZ I'd never been to before. As I "grew up" at a turbine DZ, I love visiting Cesna 'zones. Never been to one that didn't have a cool vibe. Did a couple jumps, then headed back to the hosts house for even more beer , food and good conversation. Monday, I was totally tired. Still a little hungover. Sore as hell... And completely recharged. Sometimes life is just amazingly good.“There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”
