In this context, I like what MyOwnWay said "age is only a number, maturity is much deeper". I recently met a girl who is ... aghh 17 ... much too young for a guy like me. But this girl carried a maturity level about her beyond her years. I felt like I was talking to someone in their mid 20s as opposed to a teenager. But as I said, she was much too young for me. But I've also come to the conclusion that I'd likely be better off with a woman who jumps (a freeflier is just an added bonus) as whuffos just don't get my mindset.
