skysprite 0 #1 November 23, 2003 Are there no stores open 24 hours in downtown LA?? I was getting ready to go to bed and decided to just flip through the channels and watch a little tv while I had my tea. I see something move out of the corner of my eye... I have a furry little friend who really needs to die soon! And I don't have mouse traps or poison in my apartment (meant to pick some up at the beginning of the semester "just in case") so I spent the last forty five minutes driving to places I thought might be open, but no luck. Guess I'll have to go to sleep tonight knowing this thing is going to be shitting everywhere. But tomorrow it checks out.~skysprite
wingnut 0 #2 November 23, 2003 one word...... walmart....... they do have those in one of the biggest cities in the us right??? most small towns are judged by thier size.. " oh you have a superwalmart, you're from a big town"......... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
skysprite 0 #3 November 23, 2003 That's what I thought too, but the Walmart near me was closed! I checked about 6 other places. When I got into one of the shady areas of town I figured I'm a single white female in an area that I don't know and at 2 o'clock in the morning... I'm going home and will just deal over night and take care of it in the morning. It's now 5 and I haven't slept yet. It's not even the mouse keeping me up - damn insomnia! So instead of sleeping I'm washing my dishes and speaking aloud (to the mouse) about how he shouldn't have come to my apartment because I am the mouse exterminator and he will die and to tell his little friends to fear me and to never come near my place or I will come after them and..... well then I felt bad about scaring the little guy so much and took back what I said I'd do to his parent mice and grandparent mice. He still said I was a heartless witch, so I told him he was an ugly disease carrying ball of fur and that he had no chance of ever getting laid and that the world is certainly better off because he would only create little ugly disease carrying balls of fur for offspring. I heard sniffling in the corner so I said I was sorry, but he had it coming. He said it's tough to be a mouse, and that he wishes he could just be liked and accepted, like Mickey Mouse is! I told him I know what it's like to want to just be liked and accepted. So now we kind of have an understanding. But he still knows he's going to die tomorrow and that is part of our understanding. So now he's watching tv as his last request before he dies. errrmmmm...Okay maybe I do need sleep.~skysprite

skysprite 0 #6 November 24, 2003 No one appreciates my sense of humor. *sigh* Many hours and three mouse traps later, I still haven't caught anything yet.~skysprite

Kris 0 #9 November 24, 2003 QuoteBut...but... we had an understanding! The Scorpion and the Fox A scorpion was walking along the bank of a river, wondering how to get to the other side. Suddenly he saw a fox, he asked the fox to take him on his back across the river. The fox said "no, if I do that you'll sting me and I'll drown." The scorpion assured him, "if I did that we'd both drown." So the fox thought about it and finally agreed. The scorpion climbed up on his back and fox began to swim. But half way across the river, the scorpion stung him. As the poisen filled his veins, the fox turned to the scorpion and said, "why did you do that, now you'll drown too." "I couldn't help it," said the scorpion, "it's my nature."Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
skysprite 0 #10 November 24, 2003 Ha! Caught the little shit this morning! His dead little body is now lying in the dumpster outside my apartment building. I'm still leaving the traps and poision out just in case. (I friggin hate mice) Now this thread may take its cue from the mouse and die along with it.~skysprite
