Bar Owners

I have been thinking about opening a bar for a couple years, and I now have the money to fund it. I have worked in restaurants for about 8 years so I have a pretty good idea of how they run. But I was wondering if anyone else has gone down this path, or even owns a restaurant/ bar themselves. I am trying to find a good resource on what it will take to get off the ground and the pitfalls that make so many startups like this fail.

I owned a bar once, a turnkey operation, ill never do it again. Too much Bullshit to have a good time doing it.

What will it take to get it off the ground?? $$$$$$$, A staff you can trust not to rob you blind and not to give out free drinks to every person they've ever known, Location is a big part. And reputation.
