Calling houston musicians

Well as many of you know I just relocated to the houston area.. I am looking to start a band (not a cover band) playing my original music. it is kinda of folky/ alternative...it has a "chick rock" kind of feel aka jewel, sara mclaughlin, indigo girls.... if you play any instruments, or know someone who does please email me if you want to get together and see if things work out. I am going into a recording studio this weekend to put some tracks down and would like some more instruments to make my music have a more "full" sound to it.

groupies welcome.. your dont have to run around topless either.. not that I would mind the occasional bra being thrown at me, but I to get to that point you would have to really REALLY be into my music...its not the flaming hair, bra throwing, crowd surfing, mosh pit, ass grabbin type music... its pretty chill (well I do have a few songs that people could go a little more wild to:)

Need any trumpet? My guitar playing isn't NEAR what my trumpet playing (or harmonica for that matter) is. Although I could get away playing rythm guitar, just don't ask for any hard lics.

..its not all that slow... its just not head banging shtuff.

aggie...yeah trumpet would be great.. I also have a sax and a couple harmonicas and some tribal type bongo drums... the only problem is the distance between houston and where you are.. (I think)...cuz I would like to get together about 1-2 times a week to practice..

Yeah, the distance thing would be a problem...if you toss me the trumpet music, I know I can have that done if you wanted me to lay some tracks.

well I have played several instruments...guitar for 14 years.. but I cant read music at all..I dont even know the names of the strings (well I know "E" and "E")... so as far as writting music..I do that by ear.. so I cant really write music for other instruments that I dont play...

No, I only throw bras while drunk at Karaoke bars listening to good friends sing very badly.
