SeaKev 0 #1 November 27, 2003 Just got back from a seriously close call for someone. Got called out to an automatic fire alarm at a house. Get to the house, lights are all on, windows steamed up, nobody answering the door. We call for the police because we're going to force entry. Just as I'm getting the tool to take the door, the homeowner pulls up. Seems she was cooking some apple cider and needed to run an errand. Thinking she would be right back, left the stove on, added a few more stops after forgetting the stove, and returned after nearly an hour and change. What was left in the pot was ready to light off, and the house was filling with smoke. This lady was about 15 minutes from the worst thanksgiving she could have imagined. Take the time. Enjoy the day.

McDuck 0 #3 November 27, 2003 I'd comment on how ridiculously stupid that was of her, but I've done some ridiculously stupid things in my own time. Some things that really should have put me six feet under, but didn't...like cracking my skull while trying to play Harry Houdini.
