rhino 0 #1 November 28, 2003 “Living your Life Purpose” Everything else comes out of that. Your dreams and goals, your vision, your values, the mission of your business, are all anchored in your Life Purpose. When you’re faced with a challenge, your purpose will guide you through. When opportunities present themselves, you’ll choose what the best avenue to pursue is based on its fit with your Life Purpose. It is, as they say, what gets you out of bed in the morning. It’s what you will use to measure your progress. It’s the track you run on, and the place to go back to when you get off-track. Rhino

vonSanta 0 #13 November 28, 2003 I suspect the answer to "Life Purpose" is the same as the answer to "meaning of life". Which is equal to the meaning of coffee. Is it meant to be consumed? Or are the beans just left to be as they are? Perhaps one should just enoy the sight of it. Or throw it into the air and see what pattern it makes. Same with life. You define your life purpose based on your genes and your environment. Or you don't. Perhaps because there aren't any, except for whatever you decide. We're bipedal (well, freefliers are anyway So we're good thinkers. Cheetahs are good runners. Is someone telling me one species has a special set of puposes for its instances and other species have not? I dunno. No idea. Am more confused now than I've ever been. Paige 0 #15 November 28, 2003 The sum total of your life is made up of the choices you make everyday. Where we are and where we go are all based on good life choices. We are the accumulation of our decisions, those of us who make good ones are usually happy with where we are and what we are doing. So seize the day and live life with no regrets. There are no wrong decisions. There are simply avenues that lead you in a different direction and you can simply cross those off your list of possibilities and write it off as something that just did not work. As long as you learn from experience (failure or success), you will never loose.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Tonto 1 #17 November 28, 2003 QuoteThe sum total of your life is made up of the choices you make everyday. Bullshit. Not when you're a 12 year old Iraqi boy with no arms and legs as the result of a US built and delivered bomb. What wrong choices did he make? Where his parents lived when they fell in love? Not when you worked in the WTC in 2001 on 9/11. Same story. Sometimes fate conspires to fuck you. It's how you deal with things from there that makes you who you are. tIt's the year of the Pig. If Sadam was still there, worse could have happened and probably would have as by the evidence we are finding now, mass graves, etc. What would he have done to deserve a life ruled by a ruthless dictator? kpjumps 0 #19 November 28, 2003 QuoteWhat if you don't know what your "Life Purpose" is? Something about turning 30 made me stop and think about who I am and what I am doing here. And it brought about so many changes... For me, life is passion, courage, commitment, faith and love. Faith in something bigger than you (for me it is God) gives you the security that frees you to accept that life's challenges are no match for the will of the human spirit. Eventually, we will all achieve what we believe. I am not saying you will end up loaded if you just think you will, but the beliefs in your heart become your life. Each of us are challenged to discover our talent and take it to its highest level. Bloom where you are planted, but never put yourself in a place to small to grow. At the end of the day ask yourself, did I put a little more life in my day? If you did, it was a GREAT day. Fill your heart with passion and your mind with positive thoughts. Make a to do list of at least ten things you are going to do with your life and do them. (skydiving~ doing it) Until you have it written down it is only a dream, once you write it down it is a goal, a challenge you have given yourself. Be careful of what catches your eye, pursue what cathces your heart. Settle for no less than your best, and be honest with yourself. To quote Thomas Edison "If we did all the things we are capable of doing we would literally astound ourselves." Get out there and explore and at the end to the day take time to be still and listen to your heart! Good luck in your pursuitsYour character will ultimately determine your destiny. Antithesis 0 #21 November 28, 2003 who is to say how someone else should live their life. I think that if a person lives to enjoy life as who they are they ultimately find direction if not purpose. Who is to say though that one has a single purpose that drives their existance. I doubt that it's often as simple as that..not that it couldn't be though. rhino 0 #23 November 29, 2003 It is easy to find your lifes purpose? It is what you stand for and won't stand for. Yours could be to "Be a fantastic parent for my children and a peer or mentor to fellow parents" or To be a teacher? An uplifter of spirits? To never quit? It is your mini mission statement if you will. If you are in a tough situation and your life porpose is to "be the example" then you keep your head. You have no other choice because of your life purpose. Kind of deep.. If you don't stand for something you stand for nothing.. Rhino
