Thanksgiving leftover recipes..

Recommended Posts

I always just kinda put a bunch of stuff in the pan and heat it up.. turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, potatoes and gravy.. I don't mix it, just heat it and eat it.. Never thought much else about it.

BUT Plaything has other ideas.. this morning (after our usual sexual romp) she made turkey pancakes.. sort of like crabcakes with turkey.. They were quite yummy.. :P

edited to add pic of turkey pancakes. :S

crabcakes made with pancake batter - is that you being crap cos your male and don't know these things ;) - or are american crabcakes really odd
- over here they're traditionally made like with either breadcrumbs as a base or potatoes as a base.

we don't have thanskgiving - but thanksgiving leftovers could be used to make - turkey rissoles(add finely diced bacon - yum), turkey burgers(add spinach and parmesan for yummyness) turkey burgers with a stuffing base, turkey and stuffing sandwhiches, cheese sauce based turkey pasta sauce, turkey lasagne, turkey hash... etc...

or have a big party and use it all up and then you don't have to eat turkey for months

Very creative Chop CHop and RoysPlayThing ...

We did the same thing one year in Mexico ... Caught a huge Yellowtail Tuna and had so much fish we didn't know what to do with it. We made Yellowtail pancakes just for shits and giggles. I don't remember if I actually ate them but other people believe it or not did!!!

I was thinking about you two the other night. We should get together soon Chop Chop before I move away. And I want to meet RoysPlayThing too. Oh and BTW, my reserve is finally repacked :P

Sure.... I actually just made it up... So you can add, or eliminate on your taste. ;)

All I did was chopped up some pieces of the turkey (white and dark meat) into small cm pieces, about two cups worth.

Then I added 4 eggs.

Then I added italian seasoning..

Garlic Salt or powder..

Paprika..

dried parsley..

about a teaspoon of olive oil...

Tabasco Sauce..

and crushed ritz crackers for the breadcrumbs..(any breadcrumbs will do, about a half cup of them)

and a tablespoon of margarine.

I just mixed it and squished it all together.

patted and shaped into like hamburger patties.

Put a little olive oil & some more italian seasoning directly in the pan on medium to medium low heat.

Heat both sides till brown, top with a little cheese of your choice while still hot, and Walla!! ... Yummy Turkey Pancakes! .... Yum, Yum!! :)
Whew!! ... Wow that seemed like alot of work, but chopchop is worth the time and effort.

P.S. Use any sause of your choice for dipping ... I usually have some left over gravy handy. ;)

In reply to Jen... I can't wait to meet you either.. Anyone that is a good friend of chopchop, must be a good person. ;) I lived in Missouri for a short time about 4 years ago. You will be surrounded by very nice people. ;) :)
