cvfd1399 0 #1 December 2, 2003 My computer updated itself to the new Internet Explorer 6.0, now alot of sites say that i do not have the right version to view this page. Alot of sites that have pictures shows up with little x'es where the pic should be. Even the gallery on this site shows that "you do not have permission to view" when I am signed in or not. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem
RevJim 0 #2 December 2, 2003 I had been using IE 6 for some time now. I was getting way more than my share of crashes, so I bit the bullet and went back and downloaded Netscape Gecko 7.1. Been running smooth, browser, email, and newsgroups, ever since. It's your life, live it! Shotgun 1 #4 December 2, 2003 I've been using IE 6.0 for a while now and I don't have any problems with it. (Well I have one weird bug, but I think it's related to the Yahoo toolbar I'm using with it.) Have you checked to make sure you have the minimum system requirements to run it? And have you rebooted your computer since it was installed? (Sorry if those are stupid questions. )

Shotgun 1 #7 December 2, 2003 So I downloaded Mozilla this morning after reading your reply, and so far I like it (first version I've had since before Mozilla became Netscape ;-) It does seem to be a bit faster than IE or Opera, and of course way faster than Netscape 7! The only thing that bugs me so far is that when a link is supposed to automatically open in a new window, it does open a new window rather than a new "tab" (Opera always opens it as a tab, which I really like). So the combination of open tabs and open windows seems a bit inconsistent and confusing (maybe there is some setting I have not yet found to change that?), but other than that it seems pretty cool :-) I don't really find IE to be slow and cumbersome though (IMHO)...
