indyz 1 #4 December 3, 2003 Huh. Just saw it out of the corner of my eye. Blue and red, big flash-looking thing on the helmet.
PhreeZone 20 #5 December 3, 2003 Not a bad little segment on Skysurfing and Wingsuits. Where does Chris de Bar (sp?) jump? It looked like a lot of Perris/Elsinore/desert footage. Tons of Classic's and Classic2's. A few Crossbows in there too. I only saw the GTI in a few scenes and the Skyflyer was in only I counted 3 clips. No appearences of an S3 in that video. Jari was a Camera hog Loic was in a few scenes too. I reconize some of that footage as Espace boogie mass exits and there was a few shots of above Deland in there too. Its sad I know people by their suit/rig. Its even sadder I know the DZ's by a glance at them in the background Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Deuce 1 #6 December 3, 2003 Chris DeBar is an organizer out of Byron. He got away from Birdman for a while, but he's back and has a new SF3 coming. Was this the one filmed up at Skydance (Davis)? He was going up there to film a segment on Birdsuit materials. He's dynamite and is an organizer at the Herc Boogie in Sweden, and already has the Sequential Record, and is going back (with me! Hahar!) in April to up the ante to a 2 point 140 way in Z hills.
ripper0289 0 #7 December 3, 2003 Holy crap! I thought it was cool that this kinda thing was on TV, you guys actually know those people?!? Must..... move..... to Cali......
PhreeZone 20 #8 December 3, 2003 Was'nt able to pick out anything in the interview that could tell me a DZ. He's got odd color choices for a suit, Purple and Sliver?? Who in their right mind would chose that for a Birdman suit? (Oh.. Hi Kris! ) That was a Classic2 he was wearing? I could'nt tell at a glance if it was a GTi or a Classic2. He had on a blue Wings with I think a Firefly logo on the left mudflap? They had some things wrong like forward speeds of above 135 mph and speeds averaging as low as 35? I can think of only a few people out there doing that. But thats minor details. I'm not sure how brown NorCal is compared to SoCal but it was an Otter they were jumping.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Kris 0 #9 December 3, 2003 QuotePurple and Sliver?? Who in their right mind would chose that for a Birdman suit? (Oh.. Hi Kris! ) HEY!!! Just because you went with those wussy colors is no reason to take it out on me. It's all about looking good on video.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

AggieDave 6 #13 December 3, 2003 That's got to be Deuce, I'm sitting there watching with my girlfriend (who jumps) and that shot flashed on the screen. I said "holy shit, its Deuce!" then had to explain who that was since she doesn't post here. edit: Deuce, you owe beer buddy, for being on INTERNATIONAL TV. That show went all around the world via satalite.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
skybaby 0 #14 December 3, 2003 Why yes Deuce, that is you....they went through some of Chris' video to pull out segments...and most of the footage from Chris is from Byron, during the last Boogie. Skybaby....
Deuce 1 #15 December 3, 2003 Well holy shit. Yeah, beer. In Eloy, peeps. Wow.

I didn't see the segment, but what's wrong about this? With a tail wind those numbers are very doable. On the flytrack project i'm working on here check out the "raw data" section jump # 5.. horizontal speeds reached 129 MPH though the vertical was a little on the high side at 46. Jump 3 had a vertical of 35, i guess if you are talking about the "averaging" then yeah it would probably be incorrect.. all what one word can do eh? :)
